Like any commercial product it is a standard building block to get to "your" version. I had to add a bit of weight and take 2 links out of the chain, but great overall.

Seems to be very durable. Also feels very lightweight. Thank my grandson will love them. should work very well

This is a great accessory for your Halloween costume if they don't let you carry swords on campus.As far as practicing goes, however, get ready for one star to be taken off. These are VERY light. Costume-quality light. If you're looking for good practice chucks for little Caleb, these are very safe. He can boop his own snoot without drawing blood or making his grades slip further than they already are, keeping your peace of mind while he plays in his room unattended.If you're looking for something to actually practice form with, they're too light for this type of work. Also, one-too-many links in chain, making them non-standard for actual chucks.

I'm 65 and use them for developing and keeping range of motion as well as hand/eye coordination.I doubt I'll use them to learn any significant combat techniques. I'll let others speak to that.

Chucks are made poorly - the chain attachment is in plastic with a single tiny screw that broke after just one class. Threw it away and will not recommend anyone to purchase

I liked the style for practice, but I've had others that are more realistic in weight and size.
