The ink colors are vibrant, even the lighter ones like the pale pink. There's gold colored sparkle powder in all the inks (all gold, none are silver), but it's subtle and adds just a little pizzaz. The color chart is the order of how the inks were packaged in the box. The bottles are actually extremally well thought out. The type of rubber stopper they chose not only will keep the inks from drying out (unlike some of the Windsor Newton and Speedball bottles), but is designed to help prevent messes when opening/closing the bottles, if you know the technique. The furrows in the side of the hydrophobic rubber act as channels to flow the ink back down into the bottle, saving ink and (ostensibly) making less mess. The trick is you have to grip the rubber stopper (& I strongly recommend using a paper towel while doing this) and then firmly hold that steady. DO NOT PULL the stopper out. Instead, slowly & gently twist the bottle and pull down. Once you've broke the vacuum seal by exposing the furrows, the stopper should come out the rest of the way easily and the majority of the ink will have slid down the channels back into the bottle. I've included a short video to show what I mean. Once I figured out to do this, no more ink on my fingers!

The ink is pretty with there shimmering glitter however, I expected it to be more sparkly than what it was The colors are quite beautiful but there is a problem I have there is a rubber seal for the inks, which I understand. However, I try taking them off and it keeps leaking onto my fingers and whenever I try opening others, my fingers get more colorful. I’ve also washed my hands, but the ink is much more stronger than what I expected it to be. All in all, it was perfect for what I needed.

Mixing one's own inks and using them to paint is not a common practice, but if you're like me and you want -exactly- the right color, this little set is perfect. Reasonably priced for the quantity you receive, each little pot holds about two ounces of ink, which is really plenty, especially if you're using it in conjunction with other, more plentiful inks. The inks on their own are vibrant, but a bit transparent which is why I recommend using them to color a thicker base ink. They are perfectly serviceable on their own, of course, but they will easily run if they get wet, and you'll run out very fast if you try to rely on them alone!

Everything from the packaging to the pigment is quality. Far exceeded my expectations. Stir and shake well and you’ll get a perfect balance of shine and pigment. Color me impressed.

These were bought to go with the glass dip pen set. I was hoping the colors were as beautiful as they were in the ad and they were. They were easy to use. I loved the way they were sealed to prevent any leakage. However, that same seal made it a little messy opening. But if you wear a plastic glove it’s not an issue. It washes off completely after a couple of washes. I would definitely buy from the seller again.

Nice little starter kit for inks. It has little grids on the bottles to show the colors but I didn’t find it too helpful, so I made my own. This is from how it was arranged in my case. The little washes are a drop of ink and a drop of water.

I had been wanting to try out using inks as a new art medium. This set has a ton of great colors including some metallics, and the price was great as I didn't want to sink a fortune into something I wasn't sure about. Because there are such a variety of colors, I didn't have to spend time trying to decide on just a few! I have been using these with glass pens and it's a lot of fun. The item is well packed, with each bottle snugly seated individually in cushioned foam and has a rubber stopper in addition to twist off top.

I like the ink itself but the bottle it comes in sucks. There is a soft piece inserted into the neck of the bottle and trying to pull it out, well, there is no way to open it without getting it all over yourself. I will have to put it into other bottles. The price was good but I wouldn't use any of these in my good fountain pens.
