One of the comments claimed that the company could not verify that the coating is ceramic. Can you confirm this?

On the front of the product instructions it says, "eco-friendly ceramic coating" I have other ceramic coated cooking products, and this does appear to be the same except that it is a dark color instead of white. It releases food wonderfully just like my other ceramic cooking products.

Ceramic coatings may contain lead & cadmium. Does this contain both? If not, why doesn't it say lead-free and cadmium-free?

If, by batch, you mean the entire batch of batter cooked into waffles, that would depend on the size of batter created. A good estimate may be to give yourself yourself about 5 minutes per waffle. Your batter recipe should give you the yield.
