I had installed my own central vacuum system about 10 years ago using a Hoover garage vacuum unit and PVC piping from the local hardware store. It had served the purpose for 10 years. My wife and I decided to upgrade to a more powerful system, and this system was definitely an upgrade!!!It was super easy to install. And I bought a basic install kit that was compatible with the unit which included adapters and wall plates.One of the best features is the on-off switch located on the handle of the wand.One of the worst features is the fabric filter. I feel a vacuum of this caliber should have a cartridge filter, a pleated paper filter.If you are not mechanically inclined and have never installed anything like this, giving it a bad review because of your lack of skills and ability is unfair!!!This unit is not only the most powerful vacuum I have experienced, it is also the quietest. The only noise that is heard on the first floor is the air rushing into the pickup tube...big power!!.Only time will tell if this fabric filter stands up to the every other day vacuuming that we do in this house.I was quoted over $2,000 for one level Central Vacuum installation.My all-in cost including my own labor is under $700 for installation on a one level ranch, with the vacuum being mounted in the basement. It took me 6 to 8 hours including running back and forth to the hardware store for little things like drill bits and Sawzall bladesI used a simple sweep connector to add a second outlet for vacuuming the basement. Someone had rated the machine poorly due to a lack of Outlet on the vacuum itself ... if you are smarter than the vacuum cleaner itself then you should have no problem adding a second Outlet.When my wife and I decide to add a second floor to our home, there is no doubt in my mind that this vacuum will perform just as well when doubling the square footage of the house!!!

Wow!This unit is fantastic. Three story house, miles of vac piping and a long way from outlets to vac and it sucks like all get out.Lightweight unit was installed easily on basement cement block wall.Quick hookup using OVO 12” flex pipe to existing central vac system was a breeze.Get a hose sock/cover. Definitely makes a difference.My one complaint is the push button connection on the handle. It’s weak and constantly pops out of the receiving hole in the telescopic wand if you are a slightly vigorous vacuumer.

Did a lot of research on using a central vacuum as a garage\ auto detailing vacuum and finally landed on this OVO unit. There are other units with higher specs, but to be honest, I can't imagine you would want or need anything more powerful than this for this type of application. I've got this mounted to the wall with hardlines that lead to a Cox Hose reel and 50ft of vacuum hose line. Even though all of that inefficient plumbing, this thing sucks harder than any ShopVac you've ever hard. The soft start and delay shut-off are great features. I added the muffler for good measure. Even without the muffle this thing really isn't loud considering how hard it is working.

My wife likes the increased power over our last unit. Installation is what you would expect already having a central vacuum system in place. Very quiet compared to last unit and just plain quiet in general. I routed the exhaust outside on my last system but this unit's built-in muffler and clean exhaust has me thinking I don't need to exhaust it outside anymore. Very happy with the unit overall. One thing this unit doesn't have that my previous unit did have is a port to connect a hose straight to the unit itself. I was able to simply plug the vacuum hose into the unit and hit a toggle switch to turn on the vacuum.

I may just learn to love vacuuming. I have laminate upstairs, and ceramic in my lower level. 2 dogs and no one seems to know how take their shoes off. This machine sucked up everything. Dog hair and sand have disappeared. Best money I have spent in a long time.

The suction is great and the slow start/stop seems like a good feature but biggest disappointment was that there was no hose port on the unit itself. Also very little in terms of installation support. Seems like they could have included a pvc coupler and a 3" piece of pipe. I was replacing a different brand central vac and wanted something that would just drop-in but this wasn't it.

I got this for a replacement for an old system. Works great, hasn't lost suction yet. Had to get new fittings the attachments for the older system were a different size. Easy to install other than I didn't get the flex hose and had to wait for it to come in. Wish I had known I would need it before.

This was very easy to install and has as much suction power as the unit I replaced that was twice as large and 10 times louder. Unit is very quiet.
