Edit 2025: I killed it. It took as much abuse as a poor kettle could take for over a year and then died. I have mourned and bought a percolator and I can't stand it. I need my kettle again! I'm buying a new one that I will abuse all over again but for the price? Still 5 stars!!I use this thing for hours a day. I drink a ton of coffee, make loads of instant oatmeal, hot chocolate, and soups. I also use this for hot tea, and to add hot water to things like pet food. I absolutely love this thing!It's a workhorse! Heats fast, has an auto shutoff, a safety feature to keep it from boiling dry - although I've never used it, holds enough water to make at least 4 mugs of coffee at a time, and is super easy to clean. I can get my hand inside but I have smaller hands. The lid doesn't open in a straight up and down fashion. It leans forward a bit but the opening is more than enough for my hand and a soapy cloth. It has never scratched, or failed to heat. It also doesn't impact any flavor to your drinks or food!I will buy another one of these in a heartbeat! It's amazing and worth every single cent!!

If you want an electric tea kettle that turns on with a simple depression of its lever, turns completely off with a click, and heats its 1.7 liter (a little over 7 cups) water capacity in less that 10 minutes (at 5,000 feet above sea level), then this is the kettle for you. I like it because it is so simple. I don't need a keep warm function or programmable temperature. Other reviewers have mentioned how loud it is. But that is actually a plus for me because when I am in another room, I can hear when it stops boiling and then I know to go make my tea. Another complaint I read about was the kettle came off too easily from the base. Again, a plus because my old kettle (which died and is not made anymore) sometimes stuck to the base and would drop down on the counter when I least expected it. All in all, a good basic tea kettle for a reasonable price.

Heats water really fast and gets it really hot

I’ve had this for 7 years and it just now started leaking. So I’d say it did its job well. Loved the multiple temp control options. Easy to clean and I like the sleek look of it. I already had a sections of the way.

Great for morning coffee or tea. If you're cooking something and you need a hot water quick this is the product that you might be looking for. Be careful with the cable don't be rough with it but it's reliable.
