Adorable story
I purchased for a three year old that is finally being adopted by her family that she has been with her whole life. It is a cute story with the little bear asking many questions and momma bear patiently and lovingly answering him.

Very kid friendly and heart warming
As being an adopted this is a wonderful adoption book!! I had a little girl in my class bring this book in to read on her "Gotcha Day" it is extremely heart warming and basically hits questions that might be hard for kids to understand. I even gifted this book to my friend who adopted her son. I highly recommend this book! One page does make a very light religious statement but that is it.

BEST BOOK ABOUT ADOPTION
This is the single greatest book we have ever seen about adoption for toddlers. As soon as we read it one time our 3 and 4 year old recently adopted kids fell in love with it. Especially if you are a mixed race family like ours, this book talks about how the adopted baby bear has different color fur than his mom, PERFECT!!!! We call our kids our "wishes come true" now and they will tell people about how they are "our wish come true". Ms. Richmond hit the nail on the head with this book. The illustrations are beautiful and soft and fit the soft and loving tone of the story. We have bought several copies of this book for other adoptive parents and for our children's psychiatrist to give to her clients. Everyone that has read it has fallen in love with it.

Very sweet story
Very sweet story and hits on most concerns you would have. We recommend this to adoptive parents. The art is also well done for the book.

Single Parent- Foreign Baby Adoption
I was highly dissapointed in the book. Not the book itself- the content is fine, if a little overly prosed. However this book with a generic title and summary- is from the point of view of a mom who adopted from a โfar away placeโ, no mention of a father or second mother, and its geared toward baby adoption and references โgod picked you for meโ. Being a couple adopting from foster care or our couple friend who adopted a domestic baby and is budhist- this is by no means an appropriate book.

Made me cry!!!
This book was the sweetest addition to an adoption basket that I put together for a friendโs adoption. It is a beautiful story of adoption whether you adopt from private agency or foster care! There is not a huge market for adoption gifts so I was so thankful when I found this book! It is beautifully written and pictures are so sweet!

Loved it!
This is my favourite adoption book for my daughter (age 5). Brought a tear to my eyes first few times I read it. Explains how wanted and special your adopted child is. It will be useful for a few more years. Lots of opportunities in it to answer common questions.

Wonderful book to explain adoption in an easy way.
Love, love, love this! Would give it 10 stars out of 5 if possible. I bought it toread to my adopted daughter. She isnt old enough to understand it yet but I love it and I hope she will too. I hope it will introduce her to the idea of adoption as well as answer some of her questions. "Didnt the mama who had me in her tummy wish for me?" I cant wait to read it to her.

Beautifully Written
I have read this with my little one a few times and it is beautiful, it also helps start age appropriate conversations about adoption, as a single parent this book is great as it is just Mummy Bear and Baby Bear talking on their 'cuddle spot'
