Haton Window Privacy Film, Stained Glass Rainbow Film, 23.6" x 78.7"

I’ve used window film in most of the residences I’ve lived in over the past 5–7 years, and this is easily one of the best versions I’ve used. More importantly, it has been the easiest to install. The film comes on a long roll, which makes it especially useful for larger windows and sliding glass doors. I’ve used full-length pieces on sliding glass doors as well as smaller sections cut to fit individual windows. What really sets this film apart for me is the material itself. It’s a substantially thicker vinyl than many of the window films I’ve used. It has enough body that, when rolled up, the roll can actually stand upright on its own rather than simply collapsing or folding over. I’ve included a photo of the roll to give you an idea of the thickness. I’m currently replacing some window tint that a former resident left on the windows in my home. As you can see in the photos, that thinner material has uneven edges and doesn’t line up particularly well. The thicker material of this film is much easier for me to position and gives me a cleaner, more finished-looking installation. One installation tip: use a good straightedge and a sharp blade when cutting it. The extra thickness is one of the things I like most about the product, but it also means getting a perfectly straight cut freehand can be difficult. I also learned one lesson the hard way: keep the roll away from heat before you install it. I once bought a roll, left it sitting on a windowsill while waiting to install it, completely forgot about it, and the heat eventually warped the material. I liked the product enough that I bought the same brand again, but now I make sure any unused film is stored away from windows and other heat sources. Once installed on the glass, however, I haven’t had that problem at all. The mirrored surface reflects heat, and the film has remained perfectly in place. The mirrored version gives the exterior of the windows a clean, reflective appearance while providing excellent daytime privacy. It also helps reflect heat, which is especially useful on windows receiving a lot of direct sun. As with any mirrored privacy film, the privacy effect changes at night. If it’s dark outside and your lights are on inside, people can see in. I simply close my sheer curtains in the evening, so this hasn’t been an issue for me. Another major advantage is that the film isn’t permanent. It can be removed, rolled up, and reused. As someone who rents, I really appreciate being able to remove it without permanently altering the windows and potentially take it with me when I move. After years of trying different window films, this one stands out for its thickness, ease of installation, clean appearance, daytime privacy, heat reflection, and removability. I ruined my first roll by storing it improperly and still went back and bought the same product again. Now I’m actually replacing other window tint in my home with it. I think that probably says more about how much I like it than anything else.

Installed this in the windows in my kitchen and office for some privacy without needing to hang curtains or sacrificing natural light. It is very easy to install with one person and sticks easily. It is very pretty even when not in direct sunlight. It definitely provides enough privacy for the rooms I used it in. If it is dark and you are outside, you can see shapes of people through the window but no details. Very pretty rainbow effect when it gets direct sunlight! Just purchased a second roll to do a third window with. Last photo is from outside looking in the window at night.

This is long and vulnerable, but please read if you're hesitant on purchasing this. First, this was an overall amazing experience and an extremely cheap way to add privacy to my windows. I have realized I am my neighbors' "ugly naked guy" (if you have seen FRIENDS, you know what I'm talking about 🤣) because I walk in the kitchen at night, not thinking, and they are sitting in their livingroom looking straight through my door. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Installation process was so easy that my 7 year old did a couple windows on his own. It is cling film, not adhesive, so it's a LOT easier to work with. Just clean the window, spray a LOT of water on it, put the film on, an squeegee air bubbles. If you mess up, you can lift it up and start over however many times you need. After it sits and the water dries, it stays put. The other part of my review is pretty personal, but here goes... My mother passed away last year. She was my best friend and I have been having an unbelievably hard time getting through each day. My depression and grief have consumed me and I have not been able to find anything that brings me much happiness. This is going to sound dramatic, but this window film has brought me SO MUCH JOY. It casts the most beautiful rainbow through the whole house. After installing, that evening, the sun was setting and the rainbow was cast down the hall and STRAIGHT onto my momma's urn. I literally cried. It is the most calming and beautiful way to end the day. The rainbow casted from the sunrise is just as amazing. I love making my coffee and cleaning my kitchen up in the mornings while watching the rainbow move across the room. Having this on my windows has been the best and only thing I have found to bring me true, genuine joy in a time of such deep sadness and pain. It has far surpassed every expectation I could have and I can NOT express how grateful I am. I am buying more in a bigger size to redo the bigger windows so there aren't seams. You can't see them unless you look very closely, but I'm too OCD and it bothers me knowing they're there. The designs are easy to line up, though, if you do have a seam. If you are like me and it will bother you, just go ahead and get the size that will fit the length and width of your windows. I have added pictures of daytime, nighttime, sunrise, sunset, inside, and outside of the windows. The window where the top window is done and bottom is not is the window with the seam in the film because it was too narrow to cover in one strip.

I literally just installed the film on my office door this morning and it looks wonderful, with just the right amount of privacy yet light filtering so you don't feel completely closed off. The design is attractive and the price quite affordable for the effective job that it does. There are so many nice designs to choose from that if I want to change moving forward I will be able to because of the ease of the installation. Good quality, colors on point, easy to install. I would purchase again.

I have curtains on our bathroom window but want to let the light in during the day and yet have privacy. This film was the answer. It wasn't hard to apply and I love the iridescence when the sun shines on it. It gives the right amount of privacy yet keeps the bathroom bright. It's really pretty on and I am very pleased.

It looks good. Advice: Don’t place any kind of tape on the front of this vinyl. It’s very hard to remove

UPDATED: Vendor reached out to me and confirmed that the first film I received is not one of their products. This must have been a shipping error at the warehouse, but they have offered to send a replacement. After having the film up for a few weeks now, it does look nice and it offers enough privacy for our needs. As you get closer to the glass, you can see that people are in the room and there are spots where you can see right through. So, it does meet our needs, but it would be helpful if the rolls had the measurement markings on them. They were so much easier to cut with those grid lines. I'm looking forward to getting the replacement so I can replace the other film and all our doors will match. I placed two separate orders for the clear rainbow glass window film. First order: I only ordered 1 roll because I wasn't sure how I'd like it. The film was easy to work with and included grid lines for easy cutting. It provided good privacy, but it was clear/opaque with no rainbow coloring at all (even with full sunlight and office lighting). Unfortunately, I didn't have enough, so I had to order more. Second order: Placed only a couple of days after the first order and I ordered it from the same link. However, when I received the new roll, I immediately noticed the film was different. It was more transparent, but there was rainbow color coming through. There were no gridelines on the protective paper, so not as easy to work with. It does have some color, which is nice, but it does not provide as much privacy coverage - as you get closer to the window, you can see through it. First two images I posted were of the first order - clear film, no rainbow effect. The second pair of images are from the 2nd order I received. We wanted to keep the doors consistent, but I'm not going to re-order this stuff again since I am not confident in what I'd receive.

This window film provided a dramatic improvement for a transom window over a door, transforming it from drab to elegant prismaatic light after a quick and easy installation. Beyond better aesthetics, the film also offers better privacy.

I bought the largest size to put on my bedroom window as it faces the walkway of the apartment complex I live in. I didn't want people passing by to be able to see right in, but I still wanted natural light in my room so this was a good compromise. This film lets in a lot of natural light while creating the colours you see in most pictures on the film itself when any light from outside hits it, in the morning I have direct sunlight in my room and then it even casts gorgeous prism lights on my bed, floor and cats. It was pretty easy to stick on by first cleaning and then wetting the window and the back of the film (after peeling the protective layer off first, of course), and then sticking it on the window and sliding it into place. If you're putting it on larger windows like I did though I would recommend getting someone to help you because it's just more convenient. If you're looking for maximum privacy I wouldn't recommend this film. From the outside looking in I can see rough shapes and colours in my room but no details unless I put my face really close to the window, this is enough for me as I also have blackout curtains I draw at night, but if you really don't want people to be able to see anything and you don't have other ways to obstruct the view I'd go for a more matte film. If you just want to add some added privacy AND a decorative element to your rooms I can highly recommend this product.
