This radio is exactly what I was looking for. It sounds good, picks up a fair amount of stations. I took it on a trip with me. Used it in the airport to test radio to verify it would pick up stations with all the electronics and metal walls. I also tested it in our concrete-walled storm shelter. Worked well in there. Worked great. Was able to solar charge it through the window of the plane and the airport. Light is bright enough to use for lighting your path or to light inside your tent or storm shelter. The only piece I would consider changing if I could is to have the SOS button actually trigger the SOS pattern of light and sound. It actually just does a loud annoying sound that would draw attention to you but I think the SOS sound would differentiate from any other sound that might be coming from a collapsed building or wreckage of some sort where rescuers are looking for people.WROTE THIS NEXT PART IN ALL CAPS TO SHOW THE UPDATE.ICEPOCOLYPSE 2021 CENTRAL TEXAS. NOW FOR THE RADIO. I CAN PICK UP QUITE A FEW STATIONS FROM UP TO ABOUT 40 MILES FROM US (HILL COUNTRY) BUT AFTER YOU FIND A STATION THE KNOB WALKS ON YOU SO YOU HAVE TO TURN THE KNOB TO GET IT BACK TO STATION ABOUT EVERY 3 TO 4 MINUTES.

This little radio is just the most handy thing, ever. I wanted a radio that I could depend on in bad weather, when the power went out, and as they say, when the SHTF. I wanted one that offered all three radio bands and this has them. The AM stations didn't come in that well, which was a little disappointing, but I hope I don't have to rely on them solely. The solar panels work great. Many products I've bought that said it would generate power through solar energy fell flat. This product does what it says. Of course, if you find yourself unable to use the solar panels, you have the option of using the hand crank. Don't worry; it's not as bad as it sounds... Just a few cranks, and you have power! You should know going in, that in the small print, it clearly lets you know that the charges don't last long. They last around 15-20 minutes; however, that's more than enough time to assess the situation and make plans for your family and safety. There are two ports for charging your phone/iPad/etc. I changed my phone on it with no problem at all. The radio comes with its own flashlight, too. It's not one of those cheap-o flashlights. It works very well. A compass comes with it, but mine was just no good. Every single direction was North, no matter what I did.All in all, for the cost, this is a good radio. It performs well enough, and as long as it gets me through the next weather emergency, I'll be happy.

Good reception...easy to use.. UPDATE: Oct. 10. Last night Hurricane Delta stalled and my area was hit pretty hard. My radio would not tune in NOT ONE weather station. Put outside this morning in full sun...HAS NOT CHARGED...BIG fail when needed😭

I didn't expect much from this when I got it, it was so small. But I put myself in a survival situation one night. Freezing temperatures and way back in the Appalachians with bear and all. I was by myself with a gun, but still got really paranoid with every crunch in the brush bc the only light I had was the moon and a camp fire. I realized I forgot to charge my phone before going. It was a spur of the moment decision (I was bored😂). I didn't even charge this thing in the sunlight. I just stuffed it in my survival bag. Even without charging it, it kept my phone charged all night and the flashlight did me a lot of good looking for firewood. This quickly became one of my favorite survival tools. Well worth the money 👍

I ordered these for Grandchildren over the last year as they became old enough to use. I received them quickly and thusfar 2 Grandchildren have not used as they will open for Christmas. The 3 that already received for birthdays love them. It helps that they come in a variety of colors to ensure not getting confused with which one one belongs to who in same households. Haven't used personally but hear they are Grandson approved...

I bought this because I wanted a weather radio for my camping trips, but I found it useful and fun at home too. It has a great sound for such a small speaker. It is compact and fits in my hand nicely, and has a flashlight, along with the AM/FM/Weather radio. I can set it in the sun and charge my phone or Kindle from it. It will charge my devices for a while indoors too, but continues to charge longer when the solar panel is in the sun. I love that the hand crank will recharge the battery in an emergency. The crank handle is sturdier than I expected, too. I enjoy sitting outside in the sun listening to the radio and charging my phone, without using any power source except the sun!

I bought this little guy right before some terrible weather was headed my way. Luckily I kept power and didn't have to use it but I am completely blown away by the quality of this radio for the money I paid. It's actually solidly built and has a compartment on the bottom so you can remove the battery and solder in a replacement when that time comes. The light isn't incredibly bright if you're used to 18650 powered torches but it would keep you from fumbling around in the dark. The radio picks up stations great on all bands and sounds decent enough to get you through boring, dark nights when a bad weather situation blows through. The solar charging seems to work, when I put it under my desk lamp the charging LED lights up. The hand crank seems to work as well.I'm super happy with this purchase and would recommend this little guy to anyone shopping for a weather radio.

Smaller than I expected but big on quality. Radio and flashlight are excellent, the crank works as it should but the solar charving is a real bonus. I like it that I can charge my phone off the little solar panel.
