Caffè Borbone Espresso Pods, Miscela Oro Gold Blend, Dark Roast ESE Pods - 50 Count

The coffee is very good, the pods are wrapped in foil, easy to use in my SMEG espresso machine. Plus, they are a great value in the 150 count box. Nice aroma, good foam, nice color and not too bitter.

I've been buying these pods for years, and figured it was finally time to give them to review they deserve. I'm no coffee connoisseur (as indicated by the fact that I'm buying pods instead of grinding my own beans), but I can confidently say that these produce a delicious latte. The flavor is smooth & strong, but not too bitter - lovely. The pods (incredibly convenient) fit perfectly into my machine, and are good quality. Out of all the boxes I've purchased over the years, I've had - a most - two individual pods that came out of the wrapper damaged. I have seen a handful that have had the tab (little flap of extra filter for you to grab for easy removal after brewing) get heat pressed into the wrapper. This is a bit annoying, but ultimately has no negative impact on the integrity of the pod itself, provided you tear it away from the wrapper with care. Overall, these are fantastic little pods. I've purchased them for years, and will continue to do so for many more!

It’s one of the best espresso in Italy also my favorite as the perfect aroma and strength as the perfect Roast flavor definitely recommended

The coffee is decent, though not outstanding. It's not very strong and the flavor isn't particularly rich, but it's still good value for the price. I ordered 150 pods, so I’ll be drinking it for a while. It’s definitely drinkable and gets the job done, but don’t expect anything exceptional.

Well, I finally got to Naples and they really do drink this coffee there. It is more mellow than what they have in northern Italy. The paper pods may not say ESE on them, perhaps to save subscription money, but they work well. I drink this all the time. I think it's very good.

Although the pods did not work in my espresso machine the Borbone company gave me a one time refund. Very gracious.

Not espresso grade coffee. Weak, very little flavor. I would not recommend it to espresso enthusiasts or anyone expecting anything close to espresso. Won’t purchase again.

Le cialde compostabili rappresentano inoltre un vantaggio importante: la gestione dei rifiuti è semplice e più sostenibile rispetto alle capsule tradizionali. La compatibilità con le macchine ESE è generalmente ottima e l’estrazione risulta stabile, senza particolari problemi di perdita o filtraggio, se la macchina è correttamente tarata.

Very smooth

this is amazing coffee and would recommend the gold pods. i had family from Naples and they are so particular about their coffee for espresso,but they loved the flavour, aroma , taste and strength. I have tried other colours in the range but still feel the gold is the best. they come in 2 sizes boxes of 50 or 100

Ich mag diese Pads mit der Didiesse Frog Maschine in Kombination sehr. Hab mich vorher schlau gemacht und mich für diese Maschine entschieden. Hab die Gold und die Blu probiert und sie schmecken beide super und haben eine tolle Crema. Wenn die Maschine nichts taugt, kann das beste Pad nicht schmecken.....
