One of the best flip folders I've used
I have carried the same Benchmade blade pretty much every day for about 10 years. When I lost it in the woods I tried a couple other every day carry knives (in the $120 plus range) and didn't love everything about them so returned them. I happened upon a picture of this knife while reading a review of another and thought the profile was pleasing enough to at least look at. Once I read some reviews, I figured it was a good bet to at least use for a while until I found a good every day carry replacement and then relegate this Civivi to a backup status. However, once in hand, I see no reason why I won't be using this knife for years until something happens to it. First, the size - it's not a massive knife and it's (just barely) under 3-inch blade is just about perfect for anything you could throw at it. You don't use these sized knives and think, "I wish I had a bigger blade for this task." You can pretty much do anything with it short of food preparation. I think the reason most people justify a larger knife is handle size. Here, the handle to blade ratio is as good as it gets on a folder (in my opinion). the slight swell at the butt enhances the grip and the notches on the back spine allow you to choke up with your thumb, while your pointer can grip the choil. The micarta scales are perfectly grippy and look far better than plastic. That this knife comes in several variations is a big plus. Mine is the olive color micarta and it's a warm, earth tone that doesn't look out of place on a knife, in my opinion. The color is subtle as is the design of the knife. The understated aesthetics are what drew me to look at the knife in the first place. I think it's well designed. The blade itself is as well-finished as the rest of the knife (fit and finish overall are as good as any factory blade I've seen). Edge from the factory is very good and the grind is smooth. Edge retention so far is good. Some people complain about D2 steel. For one thing, it's as hard as a knife needs to be (assuming the heat treat is good and this one seems to be) and you're not using it as a pry bar! Secondly, I've never had a problem with non-stainless steel rusting on me when I was using a tool every day, even with minimal care. The flip action is just fine (I really don't care how fast a knife flips... you can pay big money for that and you've really just got a nice fidget toy). It does what it's supposed to and locks into place with no blade play at all after using it for a week or so every day.Lastly, the deep-carry clip is nice. I can't understand why more knives don't utilize them. I wonder how resilient it will be given that I've only carry it for a week or so. Either way, the design is good and it won't slip out of your pocket or get easily caught in seat belts, etc. like even some of the more high-end knives I've owned do.In short, a really great value.

Beautiful Little Pocket Knife
I use to collect low to mid priced pocket knives and kind of got out of the hobby a few years ago. I've recently found myself watching reruns of Forged in Fire on OTA television, and watching the show rekindled my urge to pick up a new pocket knife. I wanted a knife with micarta scales and a d2 blade. After searching the interwebs for a bit I kept coming across this guy.Now that I have had it in hand for a few days I have to say that I really like it alot. I like the minimal simple design, flat scales, and drop point hollow grind blade profile. This is my first knife with micarta scales and I love the way that the scales feel in hand. Feels similar to smoothly sanded raw wood, and it seems like its going wear in and continue to look more beautiful with age. This is also my first knife with a d2 steel blade. The finish of the steel looks great, and It was razor sharp out of the box. I haven't had to sharpen it yet, but from everything I've read I expect it to take and hold a nice edge.I really don't have anything negative to say about the knife. Scales are in good shape, blade opens and closes nicely and sits centered in the frame when closed. Also no blade play whatsoever. I've paid more for knives that couldn't say all those things in the past.A great knife, and now that I'm back into the knife hobby I look forward to trying more from Civivi and We Knife in the future.

Outstanding! If outs in stock, buy it
I Love this little knife. It's on the smaller size- the photo is next to my large Sebenza and a lighter for scale. The action is Lightning fast & Silky smooth, with a Solid lock up. I got the D-2 blade, which came with a quite sharp factory edge with elegant lines and a beautiful hollow grind. The micarta scales give lots of grip and look super cool. Also, the deep carry clip let's this little gem snug right down in your pocket for an invisible fit- you can hardly tell its there. I got this as an EDC for my 12yo Daughter and she loves it.For $50 you'll not find a finer knife.

Amazingly Good Knife
I’ve been looking at Civivi knives for awhile now and finally broke down and bought the Elementum and am not disappointed in the least. This is just an awesome knife and it was extremely sharp out of the box. It holds an edge really well too. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and it will still shave the hairs on my arm. Not only is it functional, but it’s great looking too. You should stop reading reviews and just add it to your cart. You’ll be glad you did.UPDATE: 06/20/2022After carrying this knife for several months now, I still really love it. I use it a lot and it’s held up well really well. Still looks good too.Update: still my edc over a year after purchase. I use it every single day and it still looks and feels like it did right out of the box. I love how easily the blade sharpens and I can always get it sharp enough to shave the hairs off my arm. I just can’t say enough about it.

Perfect size and weight
This is my second knife that I have purchased for EDC. My first knife felt too big and too heavy for me, so when I misplaced my first knife and decided I needed a replacement knife, this ended up being the choice. At 3" it feel about perfect in my hand. Much lighter than I expected and I do not notice it in my pocket. Nice and with a slim profile, it doesn't bulge out of my pockets. The bearing in the action of this isn't 100% as smooth as my previous knife but I haven't broken it in yet. If I loose this knife, I would buy it again. The hallow grind of the knife also fives it a cool factor.

Great value, wish it opened easier.
Excellent materials, well designed and put together, and very tough and capable for its size. The only thing I don't like is the pivot hasn't seemed to wear down to the point between proper adjustment of the pin and easy deployment. That could still happen, but most knives I've owned break in sooner and/or are easier to open out of the box. Still a knife you can trust and won't cry about if you lose!
