Q: Are they quick-drying cushioned and also good for traveling and walking a long time in hot weather?

Somewhat cushioned, but have only dried in home dryer. For quick drying women's travel socks Tilley women's socks are great.

Q: Has anyone tried covering the logo with a magic marker? Did it work, and if so, did it stay or wash out?

We have not but if that is something you would like to try, look for a marker that is a "laundry marker".Example:Sharpie Rub-A-Dub Permanent Laundry Marker Marks permanently on cloth without bleeding or feathering--Uniquely formulated to remain permanent through washing and dry cleaning

Q: I have small feet (size 5.5) and I have a problem with socks falling/loosening in my boots, do these socks stay put? thnks

I love these socks precisely because they stay put once I get them on. That said, I don't know whether or not it makes a difference with smaller-than-average feet (my shoe size is 8.5).

Q: what is the height of the cuff?

I don't have these anymore . . . they shrank so much after washing them, I donated them to Good Will (perfect for a child). But I think the cuff was about 2" high.
