- DWARF FRENCHBEAN TENDERGREEN: Seeds should be sown indoors from January to April in trays or pots and should be covered with 3cm of compost. Seedlings should be transplanted outdoors when the ground is warmer from May to June allowing 20cm between plants. Alternatively seeds should be sown directly outdoors where they are to be harvested from May allowing 60cm distance between rows. Seeds produce green fleshy pods that are fibreless and snap cleanly.
- RUNNER BEAN SCARLET EMPEROR: Seeds should be sown indoors from January to April in trays or pots and should be covered with 4 cm of compost. Seedlings should be transplanted outdoors when the ground is warmer from May to June allowing 20 cms between plants. Alternatively seeds should be sown directly outdoors where they are to be harvested from May allowing 20 cm distance between rows. Garden cane can be used 1 cane per seed allowing 20 cm distance between each seed.
- Seeds should be sown outdoors from March to June for peas from June to October. Seeds should be sown 75 cm apart and 5 cm deep allowing 15cm between rows. Seeds are ideal for growing against a garden wall using pea netting to grow upwards. This variety is high yielding and a reliable first early, producing approximately 8 succulent peas per pod. Regular picking encourages further cropping. Stakes should be used for supporting tall stems. Should be harvested 12 to 16 weeks from sowing
- Canes and garden nettings should be used to train plants to climb and grow tall for easy pickings from June to October.
- Plants should be well watered especially during hot summer months and pods should be picked regularly.
