Designs for Health Allicillin, Allicin Supplement, 60 Softgels

It has helped with stomach issues pretty quickly but smells terrible.

I have had gut problems for five years. Garlic is a solid antiviral and antibiotic. This enteric coated version allows it to survive stomach acid, a concept I borrowed from a prescription medication that controlled symptoms but not the underlying cause. Much to my surprise, a heavy dose of this reset my gut "bugs" and utterly ended the long term intestinal issues I have had that were initially caused by a tiny amount spoiled milk in coffee. I have fought that for five years. The medical community was of little help with the underlying cause, which did not show up on "stool" tests and clearly liked old 98.6. If you have such issues, try this WITH all the things the medical community says: 16 hour fasts, probiotics, real sauerkraut, etc. This puts the garlic right in the intestines where it can do its normal work. Warning: you will stink up your house and work place, and friends will hold their noses, but this is really good stuff for at least some intestinal issues. Very highly recommended!

I had read that taking Allicin pills while doing treatment for SIBO was recommended, but I didn't notice that this one was Garlic + Parsley. I don't know if that made the difference, but when I took these, my mouth and throat tasted like garlic for hours. I was already so sick to my stomach because of the SIBO antibiotic that this just pushed me over the edge into throwing up. I will never take them again. Consult a doctor before you take any supplement to support a medical treatment! I had taken some straight allicin pills before, and it was not like this at all. I'm not sure what's different about this brand. But I don't recommend it.

Good Product. Helpful for candida overgrowth.

When i feel a cold or irritated throat I take Allicin to prevent further discomfort and pain. It works and I prefer this instead of medications.

This product does work. However, it will make you stink. I was taking it for 4 days when my kids and husband could no longer sit near me. My skin and breathe were smelling of straight garlic - however you are unable to smell this on yourself. My mother in law came over and said oh did you just cook something with garlic? No Debbie that is just me. Lol

I really researched it to find this particular formulation. On the downside, it creates terrible mouth oder. It did increase my HDL, which I couldn't do with any other interventions. LDL decreased slightly. Aches and pains have improved.

I love Designs for Health products. Great quality always. I only wish someone would have warned me about how this would make my breath smell. I had to discontinue use.
