Hard to eat
I’m not fussy with food at all but to me this tasted disgusting. Bought as I thought there was going to be a food shortage and Amazon at the time didn’t have stock of much else.I’ll eat it as it was so expensive and I can’t waste food but never again

Excellent quality and taste but at a high price.
foodspring Organic Protein Porridge, Forest Berry, 420g, Breakfast Porridge, Made in Germany with Organic Ingredients from Lake ConstanceThe product. This is a high-quality porridge made from organic ingredients. It does contain some dairy products so not a vegan product but fine if you just like healthy good quality food.Preparation.This is very easy, just measure out the amount you want to eat and add hot water and mix.Taste.I liked the taste and the mix of freeze-dried berries is very nice. The porridge has a rough texture and a nice nutty flavour – much different from the over processed supermarket stuff.I really liked this.Overall.A very high-quality instant porridge but at a high price which is a pity. Care has gone into designing this product and the taste is excellent.

Vorsprung Durch Porridge
You'll notice that all the product shots show images of this porridge with added fresh fruit on top. It rather begs the question, why purchase hyper expensive porridge with freeze dried fruit in it? Why not do what I usually do each morning and make a bowl of Mornflakes for one tenth the cost then add fresh fruit. Unless I'm on an expedition to a remote part of the arctic that contains no shops, I really I have no good answer to that. So, whilst this is in theory a good idea, it turns out to be an expensive disappointment in reality. I find it way too sweet and cloying for my personal taste, and even the small portion of porridge that the recommended 60g of powder creates is too sickly for me to finish eating. I don't find the taste particularly convincing either I'm afraid, perhaps due to the added semolina (flour in other words, that brings with it gluten) and dried whey. Adding fresh fruit makes it easier to eat, but defeats the purpose. For me then, this was a flop. Making porridge from oats seems just as easy, allows me complete control of the sweetness and taste, and is a great deal cheaper, even with lots of fresh fruit piled on top. Alternatively, if you have a sweet tooth, a small appetite and no gluten intolerance you may prefer to pay over two quid per portion for this fancy stuff. The choice is yours.

Satisfying, tasty and crunchy
When I make porridge it's just cheap oats, water and milk, and that's good enough for me. By comparison, this is spectacularly different. It’s a super zingy porridge, with loads of texture and fruity flavours. With the soy, dried fruit flavours and milk powders, it is a little reminiscent of Slimfast powder. However, the fruit flavours have much more depth, and the texture is far more interesting with plenty of crunch that’s almost granola-like at times. It fills me up properly too, and at 224kcal per 60g serving, it's pretty lean. It's also super simple to make- just add hot water, no boiling over in the pan or microwave required (like a Pot Noodle, basically!).This stuff is what pre-made slimming food aspires to be- good ingredients, well made, easy and quick to make, tasty to eat. I'm impressed. By comparison to everyday porridge of course it’s expensive, but relative to other protein foods, it’s not too bad value (comparatively).Yum, and you don't need a gym subscription to enjoy it.

Nice but expensive
So this is Organic porridge, so you would expect to pay a higher value, but and 15 pounds is it worth the money? It's nice, it really is, the little pieces of fruit add a nice taste to it and give a sweet flavour, but I found that I still need to add a banana to even it all out, but that's just a matter of personal preference. You may like sweet porridge, in which case, this is perfect.Just add water and milk, and heat while storing, like any other porridge, again, my personal preference is a runny consistency, so I had to add more than the recommended milk quantity to get it the way I like it.All in all, its nice, just in my opinion, a tad on the expensive side. Would I buy it again? Not until the price halves.

Nutty and filling, but not amazing!
It's too expensive for what it is, although I understand that you do pay slot more if you want organic products! There is at least 12-15 medium portions in the tub, which will make it around a quid per bowl....not too bad , actually. Anyhow, although it's meant to be instant, I suggest cooking it on the job, as despite keeping it covered for around 5 minutes, it still felt a little too fleshy and although cooked, not soft enough. It's edible, even nice if you jazz it up with a bit of honey, but I wouldn't run after it , truth be told. Still a good buy if you watch your diet and stay clear from all sorts of processed nasties.
