Georges, i see that you've done your homework.  I would try it for bunions for the heat AND the pain relief, those darn things sure hurt, but so far, thankfully, i've escaped that particular malady, so i can't tell you anything with any certainty.  I'm crossing my toes.  I'd put it on real light with a cotton ball or tissue because i would also be wearing socks and a pair of shoes and these would tend to keep the capsaicin heat in the bunion.  At home wouldn't be a problem for me, but, i might be needing to get my shoe off real fast in public if it feels like it is overheating because I applied the liniment too heavily! I'd practice a little first before heading out to see a movie or a ball game or even to work ;-)   I've read of a couple other home remedies for bunions, too, and, again, i have no idea if they work, though they come recommended.  One is to use just plain turmeric which is the capsaicin, made into a thin paste and put on the bunion.  Of course, many folks eat turmeric in their food both medicinally and because it is a great tasting herb without being to hot. I like it.  Again, not too much.  I'd work up if i found that i had a taste for it or found that it was helping.  Just watch to not stain your clothes or carpet or furnishings because the red powder is really red.  Another idea is making chamomile tea, drinking the brew and then gently placing the tea bag on the bunion like a poultice and leaving it there until you're too bored and need to get up.  I use coconut oil for some moles and skin blebs, but, these are fluid filled and can be dried quickly.  But, i'd be thinking about trying that, too, if I happened to have some in the cupboard.  Now, what none of these other substances can do is also provide the pain relief from the menthol AND the heating antiflammatory relief of the capsaicin in the Zheng Gu Shui formula.  Truth be told, I find that some days i need one kind of thing for this pain and the opposite thing another day for that new wrinkle.  Play around.  Start with one or get the formula because it's already prepared.  Get one bottle.  If it doesn't work for a bunion, it probably will for a back ache, which was my reason for using it.

My husband uses it for his back n wrist arthritic pain....with great success.   We highly recommend it, and keep 2 bottles always in our med cabinet!
