Would people recommend these headphones for listening purposes (rather than DJing or mixing/producing)? Or are there better options?

My personal opinion is that these headphones sound great whether simply for listening purposes (music, speech, podcasts etc) iPhone if your phone still has a mini-jack as well as DJ'ing. Classic headphone that been around for years and still remains a massive worldwide seller. You won't be disappointed I am sure.

Is this a Detachable cable set or wired?

The cable can be detached but it requires the use of a screwdriver.
