Great - but you should know some things about it...
I did my research on suitcases - it came down to conventional ones made of nylon and the polycarbonate shells. The main advantage of the shells is that they are a bit more rugged and your clothes are separated into two equally spaced sections. The nylon ones are more like a big box that has a really thin lid. I was a bit skeptical about the polycarbonate shells because all my life I had the nylon suitcases. I have so far taken this on two flights and a 7-day cruise and have been impressed.Good:1. You can really stuff these babies and still close them just fine2. The wheels are really smooth - good quality. I had the suitcases loaded to exactly 50lb and I could easily roll it on all 4 wheels with just one finger on a smooth airport floor3. The zipper is sturdy and self-healing. I jammed it up really good on one occasion. I just unzipped and re-zipped and all was well4. Easy to pick out at the baggage claim. No one else (statistically) is going to have one of these. Plus, they come with special colored stickers you can apply to the indentations on the face of the suitcase. You can place the stickers in an any pattern you want which will make it even more unique at the baggage claim. They were so easy to spot - it was the first time in my life I actually spotted my bag being loaded on the plane!5. Comes with a TSA-approved lock. I didn't think I would use it, but the lock is so convenient that I went ahead and used it anyways. We went on a cruise with it and I actually appreciated being able to lock it since the cruise people take your bags from you for about half a day and then deliver it to your room. Who knows what they do with it for all that time?? So the lock was nice. When I got back on the final flight home though, there was a little note from TSA saying they had opened my suitcase to inspect it. But they went ahead a re-locked it - so that was cool and it really worked like Samsonite says it should. The cruise people couldn't touch it but airport security could.Bad:1. They do get scratched up easily but I really don't care - suitcases are not artwork2. There are no little compartments all over the suitcase to put miscellaneous things. Especially missing is the exterior pocket for putting paperwork and other things.3. This suitcase is expensive - I am assuming it will give me many many years of trouble-free service for this price. I will periodically update this review as time goes on and they are more thoroughly used and abused.Overall feels like a good quality, sturdy suitcase that works just as you would expect.

this bag breaks - carbon plastic cracks wide open!
Yes - just like others my shinny bag got all scratched up rather quickly but that is not the issue. This bag has actually cracked wide open after ordinary treatment by the airlines. It's supposed to be indestructible but the special carbon plastic is far that. It has not even lasted 1 year. I have far cheaper old fashioned black plastic Oyster and other bags from Samsonite which are still in service after 15 years.Taking it back to Samsonite under the 10 year warranty.UPDATE: Samsonite is refusing to repair or replace this bag under warranty saying that the bag has been "mishandled". Since it has split open it cannot be repaired. It's obvious that Samsonite is NOT the bag company it once was. It's poor design, poor engineering, poor materials, poor construction and poor after sales support are pathetic and not at all customer oriented. The 10 year warranty is nothing but a marketing gimmick.

Only lasted 50 Flights
I really like the luggage.Great weight. However the interior construction is not very durable. The web pocket breaks away from the coners. After about 50 flights one of the wheeled coners split making the luggage hard to push. After about 60 flights a split occoured on the side. They just beat the heck out of luggage. That said, i am replaceing it with the same luggage.

Hard and Helpful
This is a hard top and is the third one I own. I have two of the medium size, and this larger 30" one. I am about to order a second 30 inch one. Based on the price, I do not look forward to a day when the airline loses all my luggage. So far we have taken these on two trips. Some "slide marks" have shown up on the outside as expected. It is possible they could be cleaned off, I did not bother to try. The case can be slightly over-packed if needed. The case is a thin plastic and luckily hold up well. Especially with items in it. It could be problematic if you ship it partially full as it would be more susceptible to be crushed. You must learn to use this luggage. Each side holds about the same amount of contents. So you have to learn to spread the items out.You must learn how to live out of this suitcase too... it is hard to just leave open (because it takes up too much space), and if you have to keep spreading it open all the time, it could take a lot of effort. The FOUR wheels work well through the airport. But they do not work well on rug. You will be forced to cart the suitcase the old way, as if it had two wheels, when you are on rug.I like the item and recommend it. But just understand, it is only luggage and you will continue to expend effort when dealing with it.

spinner
this is the perfect spinner.Size and shape are exellentZipper works perfectly and the internal compartments are excellent.Have only flown twice with it so time will tell if it hold up to the stress of baggage handlers. So far so good. The combination lock works well. The handlse does not slide out well if it is over stuffed.
