This book changed my life in immeasurable ways
Review for Genevieve’s BookI wanted to write a review of this book review for so long, but the events of this week have prompted me to take the time to write this review. And I actually do have the time (as you will soon see) thanks to this book.I have read two fantastic books that have changed my life in immeasurable ways. One is Easy Law of Attraction by Austin Wintergreen. And the other is Magic Words by Genevieve Davis.I am so grateful that Genevieve wrote the book. I had read it a while back, but I didn’t do much with it because my life was trucking along just nicely. However, my life took a turn for the worst recently. It was very painful, but Genevieve’s Magic Words got me through this and smiling on the other side.Recently, my job has been a real thorn in my thigh. It had been a great job for the past two years, but things have steadily gone south fast. People were leaving, and inexperienced people were coming in. This put more work on my plate.Fast forward to these past few weeks—thanks to this wonderful book—I only work just a few hours a day. (This is why I have time to write this review for this wonderful book.)I was really starting to hate my job. I just wanted to leave, leave, leave! But I knew it was a great job with generous benefits and all that the other luxuries. However, I was getting in this negative space, and I couldn’t get out of it.It was just so overwhelming! Finally, I picked up Magic Words again.I had read it a while back and loved it. But I didn’t do much with it. So, I picked up again and read it through in its entirety in a few days.I decided I was going to get back into using MAGIC WORDS. I was going to CHANGE my story. No longer was I going to be a victim of my circumstances. No longer was I going to feel trapped in my job. No longer was I going to complain about everything in my world. It was time to CHANGE my story. And so, I did!And I am so glad I did.It was like a lifeline. Just in time, too. It was getting very scary. The effects of changing my story were so profound. Things started to change as soon as I MADE the decision to change my story.Remarkable, I know.Projects that were assigned to me were suddenly assigned to someone else. Other projects mysteriously disappeared from my task list. For the weeks ahead, I only had a few hours of work each day.It was like a storm had broken and a beam of sunshine was breaking through. However, I didn’t rest on my laurels. I knew the universe was listening. Even though things were starting to get brighter, I didn’t let up. I continued to change my story. I wrote in my journal every day (as I learned a great deal about from Austin Wintergreen) about how good my life was and how good my job was.Just last week we had a department meeting. The manager said the next few weeks were going to be brutal. There was a LOT of work coming our way. My co-workers were moaning and groaning. I just smiled and thought to myself, “Sure, bring it on. I can deal with it. My life is great. This job is great. I’m loving life.”Two weeks after that meeting, all my coworkers are slammed with work, but I had only a few hours of work a day. I even reached out to my immediate manager and ASKED for more work. She had nothing for me. Ugh, a mixed blessing. I like being productive but having a break from all the mayhem is nice, too! This extra time allows me time to organize and clean up old projects. I spend my time learning more about my business and how I can increase my value to the company. I’m allowed a breathable space to figure out how I can be an indispensable asset to my coworkers without feeling like I am running around with my hair fire. But the beautiful part is I don’t have to do this, and there is no pressure for me to do so. If I didn’t want to be proactive at all and only do the work that was assigned to me, I would literally have only two hours of work to do a day and still get paid my full-time salary. What a treat, right? The best part is that I can work from my beautiful home that I got from following the advice from Austin Wintergreen. And it’s all thanks to Magic Words and changing my story. I’ve even used it to clear up some health problems. And lose a little weight and maintain it.------------------------------------------------------------I feel sorry for the people who dismiss this book. They are missing out on so much! However, I can understand where they are coming from. Before I read books like this one, I was very frustrated with my life. I had no direction. I was angry all the time. And trouble followed me everywhere! I couldn’t catch a break. Slowly but surely, I got out of it and books like Magic Words have helped me along the way.Books by Genevieve Davis and Austin Wintergreen have also increased my intuition big time. With my increased intuition, I purchased a home about six months before the real estate boom of 2021. My house is now worth 32% more. That’s a nice profit in just 11 months.I’ve also made some very savvy and lucrative investments. On one small investment of a few thousand dollars, I generated over $13,753 in just 5 weeks by buying stocks—Thank you, Tesla!--at just the right time and then selling them. It was a 334% profit.I hope this trend continues! It’s sad that people aren’t more aware of how much better their lives could be if they just focused on how good it COULD be. Unfortunately, people focus on the negative. What I learned from Genevieve and Wintergreen is to stay away from the insidious and poisonous news.It will ruin you! This wonderful book by Davis has helped me CHANGE my story and REWRITE my life.I have read all of Genevieve Davis’ books, and each one of them is fantastic. This one, however, just brought it all together for me.I wish I didn’t have to end this review. I could write a whole book on how wonderful Davis’ book is and how it brought me to a place where I feel so unlimited and can do no wrong. However, all good things must come to an end.I only have one more thing to say:Genevieve Davis, PLEASE WRITE MORE BOOKS!

Easy to digest
Although the author attempts to distance themselves from terms like 'Mindfulness' or 'Manifestation via No Mind", the philosophy here is very much in line with those teachings but takes a different approach in the language of magic. For anyone needing or wanting a reminder of how to return to the Now, this book will definitely put you back on the right track if you allow it to.Skeptics will always be skeptical and believers will always believe. No matter where you fall on that spectrum, it will never hurt to seek positive truths. Why not give it a shot?

An interesting and easy to follow self-help book using magic words.
The title of this 147 page soft cover book (Magic Words and how to use them by Genevieve Davis) intrigued me when I saw it on Amazon for a bargain price and I decided to purchase it. The light breezy writing style of the author made this book easy to read and understand. She often repeats the same instructions in a slightly different way in order to get her point across. I do believe in the magic of words; however, I also think without direct action by those using magic words will fail to achieve their goals and ambitions.I do like this author’s realistic and logical approach to using positive stories to change the negative into a positive mental state of mind to achieve the magic you are seeking. This volume covers the following topics:My promise to you, a little about me, is this really going to work, your two minds, the story isn’t always true, the reality generator, how to do it, how to use the technique, the fastest way to see it work, overthinking not required, finding your own personal magic words, what to do when it doesn’t work, how long will it take, the easiest way to ruin your life, dealing with social pressures to complain, ramping things up, and some real life examples.I found this book to be an interesting read and if you are seeking the magic of words you may want to check out this book.Rating: 4 stars. Quick read, useful information.
The information in the book isn't new; the author puts a new spin on old information: creating life stories that are positive even if this isn't how we may have experienced past experiences. It's simple but brilliant.

If you were looking for a grimoire of words, keep looking, however…
This books is more of a New Age way of describing chaos magic without using those terms. It is about bending reality by changing our outdated mental constructs and unhelpful narratives that keep us stuck. It does a very good job of explaining this in layman’s terms.Genevieve’s writing is very casual and conversational, making this book accessible, easy-to-read and comprehend. Why then, did I give this a 3-star review? Simple. She stretches a simple concept — that could be stated in one blog post — out over 100 pages of fluff. After you’ve read the technique, you can quit reading. The remaining 60% of the book is a rehash with a few testimonials and more autobiography.

Change your perception and you'll change the world
I'm sure there are a lot of people[or who could benefit from this book, the author is authentic and what she's saying is definitely true. Its not always easy to accept responsibility but from my experience it has always been empowering. This is great advice for people who tend to be pessimistic or negative most of the time, but it can be hard to give them the slap into reality they need to change. For me, it reinforced a concept I am already very aware of amd use much of the time and also reminded me of smaller things that are counterproductive.... Its like a friend reminding you of something that you already knew (that's the best way 8 can think to describe it). Life is all about how you perceive things nd if you can change your perception then you can change the way you experience life... anyway, I think the way the author presents the concept is creative, I've never heard it described this way and that should appeal to some people who can not relate to it enthusiastically as a natural phenomenon. Good job!

A reminder of the essentials of Becoming Magic plus some new gems
Like many, I've read all of Genevieve Davis's other Magic books. I've also done the Becoming Magic course, so I wasn't sure if this book was going to add anything new. It does. But before I get to that, the question I'd be asking if I was looking to buy this book is, "Hm, well if Magic works so well, why do people keep buying her works? Shouldn't they need only one book or course?"Well in my case, the reason I haven't had consistent success with Magic, Genevieve Davis-style, is that it's taken me a long time and a lot of effort to actually DO what she suggests. When I started with her books a year ago, I was in the thick of painful and debilitating chronic illness. It took all my energy just to make it through the day. We were on benefits and every day felt like the most enormous, painful struggle.I tried her approaches a few times. I tried her practices like Letters to the Universe, where you write in detail what you want, and the Evidence Journal, where you write down every piece of "evidence" that life is going your way. I tried putting money into savings accounts every month. I had modest success but it seemed to require an enormous amount of effort to keep up and I kept giving up.Here's where we come to this book. In the past year, I've gotten a lot better, but I still struggle with illness and we're still on benefits. Obviously, a lot of challenges have come in thanks to covid-19, but as she explains in the book, a lot of opportunities -- time spent with family, time to explore your inner world, for example -- have come as well. So which ones do I want to focus on?I decided to purchase the book on a day when I was feeling exhausted, ill and depressed, when I thought for the thousandth time "Why does life have to feel like a constant d*** struggle all the time?".When I realised that even after reading just a few sentences of the free preview that I felt so much lighter, happier, and optimistic, I purchased the book and read it cover to cover. I started the online course and did the homework. It's only been a day since I started reading the book. I've told my husband that I'm giving this thing a go again and have chosen "Being Tired" as the thing I'm shifting my attitude to, the cure for which you might say I'm manifesting. Like a scientist, I'm treating it as an experiment -- except I'm biased towards positive outcomes as much as possible :)What's new in this book for me is an explanation about why seeing things positively instead of negatively is actually about learning to see things *how they really are*, about how to feel that instead of every day feeling like a struggle, you can begin to feel that every day you are working *with* the world. I've heard that idea mentioned again and again by spiritual teachers I respect, but I've really struggled to GET it. Somehow, what Genevieve writes in the last chapter slipped past the struggles and helped me see clearly. I believe that this time around, it's not about training myself to see the world through rose-coloured glasses, it's about finally seeing and feeling the world as it really is and always has been. It's about finally feeling that I can stop struggling and put all my energy into learning how to see the support that's already there and is just waiting for me to recognise it.Even if all I got out of this purchase was the last 24 hours of feeling optimistic, energised and relaxed, it would be worth it. I'd easily spend this amount on a movie or other book or some snack, so why not spend it on something that has the opportunity to long-term change as well?I hope this helps. I'd say, read the first few sentences and see how you feel. I don't know whether it will be life-changing for you -- I hope so -- but even if you only do this for the 5 day challenge, you probably will find the money spent worth it, just for the sense of hope and calm that may come. All the best to you in whatever you decide.

Perhaps the most important book to be published this year (or any year)
I have already purchased all of Genevieve Davis' books on magic, so buying this book was an easy decision for me. In fact, I bought it within one minute of her announcing its publication on her Facebook page. I may even have been the first one to buy it.I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, prior to publication. Genevieve had told us, via her Facebook page, that it was coming out soon. I even idly wondered if it would be a book listing a number of key words that could trigger magical happenings when uttered, but (thankfully) dismissed that notion as being silly. The book, Magic Words and How to Use Them, is not unlike her other books. In a way it takes all her previous teaching in magic and condenses it into a simple formula that works. How do I know it works? Well, soon after I started reading the book I realised I had been using Magic Words all my life. We all have, in fact, but critically, I realised that all the good things I have experienced in life so far have been the direct result of how I have phrased the story. Unfortunately, all the bad things happened for the same reason.Magic Words isn't about saying "Abracadabra" and instantly changing things magically; stick with the Harry Potter books if that's what you like. But it is about changing things, if that's what you really want to do.The book is written in an easy to read style. Some of the concepts might be a bit difficult to grasp and accept if you haven't come across the ideas before, but Genevieve breaks it all down in simple terms that simply make sense. There's also a 5-day video course offered free as a complement to this book. The video course is excellent. Genevieve talks to camera with calm confidence and authority in a relaxed and friendly manner that will put even the most nervous person at ease. If you are someone who likes a visual approach, the five videos will definitely enhance and expand this book's experience.I truly believe that this book is, as I say in the headline, "perhaps the most important book to be published this year (or any year)." If you want to change your life for the better, or even just certain aspects of your life for the better, this book, if you apply its teachings, could do just that!

Spend your money elsewhere!
Think positive & stop complaining, bless every situation coming your way to attract greater good. These are fundamental principles behind the philosophy in the book. I gave it with one star because I expected some sort of originality in the book.

Great book. I'm glad I bought it!
Well what a pleasant surprise. I must admit I'm a bit of a fan boy of Ms Davis. I've got all her other books and they're all good reads. I bought this book out of curiosity more than anything else. I mean what else could she write to top her other books? Would her magic words just be affirmations in disquise? Would they just be "switch words"? They're actually none of these things. They are in fact something completely new. Something fresh. Something I've not read anywhere else (and I've read a LOT of books in this genre). I'm glad I bought the book and I look forward to putting the technique into practice!

Disappointing!
This book is an easy read, quite short but quite repetitive. I didn’t learn anything new that I didn’t already know about the Law of Attraction and yet the author tries to almost discredit the Law of Attraction in this book by suggesting all you do is ‘think’ about what you want in the future and because you’re just ‘thinking’ about it in the future it will always be in the future and never ‘now’! Anyone who knows about the Law of Attraction will know that’s quite a patronising statement and there’s so much more to it than that. If you have read The Secret, The Power, The Magic, or Ask And It Is Given, or probably any other book on the Law of Attraction then you definitely don’t need this one. If you haven’t read any other books on LOA then this might teach you something useful but there are better books out there that tell you about this practise (it’s not exclusive to the author at all) and so much more. I felt as though the book was beginning to sound very repetitive and I wasn’t learning anything new, chapter to chapter. The last chapter talks about the importance of gratitude which is something that anyone who knows about and practises LOA knows the importance of. I feel like the author is trying to take credit for her ‘Magic Words’ trademark but it is a practise of LOA. And anyone who’s familiar with scripting (watch some videos online) won’t gain anything new here either. Also as others have said she plugs her online course ALOT! Sorry but I was very disappointed!
