Good lord no. It would strip the surface right off!!

How do you clean it after use?

I can't remember what it is made of, but I washed it with washing up liquid with no harm done making sure it was dry before using it again.

Is it suitable for a carbon steel pan?

I would say no. Would scratch the pan too much. Only cast iron pans.
