Wow, this works a treat! I think for a beginner, like myself, it's a must have! The key benefit is it ensures you always have the correct neck angle, once you have it setup correctly. This helps greatly with getting everything else into a good posture so it's perfect for starting and developing good technique. But it is also *much* more comfortable than using a footstool or method of elevating your left knee. My leg was going to sleep and the edge of the bottom bout was pushing uncomfortable against my right thigh. That was the main motivation to try this other type of guitar support. Another benefit I noticed right away, but some may find it a negative, is the support makes it hard to do that thing we do as beginners where we crane over or tilt the guitar so we can look at the fretboard to see where our fingers are at. While it is natural to want to do that, it is better to develop your fingers' spacial awareness early on, and in the process avoid getting stiff necks and shoulder pain. The minor con are is that it uses suction cups to attach, which most of these types of supports use, so there are some key things to remember: 1. Research more about how to add supports if your guitar is expensive, vintage or has delicate finish or a matt finish. Most mid to low range guitars will have a glossy polyurethane finish which will be fine for suction cups directly. 2. Clean the suction cups with warm soapy water, rinse and dry to remove all oils and dust. Same goes for the area on the instrument where the cups will attach. 3. First though try different attachment points and strap lengths so that you have the instrument positioned how you like it. In summary: I think for starting out with classical guitar this is perfect for home practice use. If you get more serious about playing then there are other more sophisticated supports to try. I'll update in a few months if I find there are issues with suction cups over time.

I have been playing guitar for about 7 years now. I only recently learned about classical playing position and bought a footstool at Guitar Center. I played using that for about 2 months, but no matter which of the three positions I tried, it either was awkward or downright painful. My guitar teacher has a large, bulky guitar support, but I knew I didn't want to carry that to class twice a week. I browsed Amazon for supports and found this amazing contraption! The first time I used it, I was blown away by the comfort and ease compared to the stool or lack of support that I had been used to. The suction cups stuck on easily to my guitar's glossy finish and held decently. I check them each time I pull the guitar out, but I haven't had any trouble with them coming off while playing. I can easily put my guitar back in its case (not gig bag - actual case) without taking off the support. It folds down neatly and doesn't detach when inserting or removing the guitar from the case. It sticks out maybe 2 inches from the side of the guitar, so if the case were super tight, it might not work, but for mine it's great. The only big issue I've had so far (a couple weeks in) is my left leg falling asleep from sitting so long in one position. I didn't have this problem with the stool because the nerve behind my thigh wasn't being pinched. However, the tradeoff of intense hip pain (with the stool) for needing to shift position every so often is worth it by far. Other than that, I'm still adjusting the velcro to find the perfect height, but there's a huge range of height options available. This support makes me so much more ready and willing to practice, and the price was fantastic.

This is an excellent product that works, after a bit of time figuring out how it works, as the instruction is not very clear. The first one I received had "high gloss textured paint" but there was a minor chip on the metal edge that exposed a bit of rust, so I returned it (free return helps). The replacement I got had a "matte paint", which I initially did not know if I like because it looked like unpainted metal. But I ended up keeping it, as I figured the "glossiness" would not go well with the refined appearance of my Cordoba C5 guitar. Overall, a product that really works as a foldable A frame support. It is much better than using a foot stand, which gave me pins and needles after less than half an hour. Here's my suggestion for future enhancement: 1. Better quality paint finish (non-gloss) would be nice 2. On the metal part with 2 plastic suction cups pressed against the side of the guitar, there are two other "pillars" also press against the guitar. These "pillars" are fabricated into the metal, so I was concerned it could mar the guitar finish, but so far I don't see any marks. To avoid any mishap, I actually cut out two small self-stick pads to stick to the pillars to provide more protective "cushion" against the guitar side. These pillars should really be made of softer (think rubber, silicone) material or perhaps two extra mini suction cups could also work.

Works as described; better than I expected. Eliminates need for footstool and elevates the guitar to more comfortable playing position. Suction cups work fine on my entry level guitar. Attach and remove easily with no damage to finish. Item stores easily in gig bag as needed.

When I read about it, I was skeptical. I saw a positive review on YouTube that convinced me to give it a try, but even so, I was nervous about the steel frame, afraid it would scratch my expensive guitar, and planning to cover the metal with thick 2” wide Gorilla duct tape. However, when the item arrived, I was very pleased. For now, I won’t wrap it in tape—it seems okay, though it definitely won’t be stowed loose in my guitar case—it has to go in the pocket. Or perhaps I will make it a leather case. The main thing is that this is a wonderful guitar rest that really does help me achieve a much more comfortable ergonomic playing position. I’ve tried several positions that work, depending on where I want the guitar, but my favorite is at the top of the lower bout. I’m a stickler for positions that let me play with a minimum of strain, tension, pressure, or contortion. I want to caress the strings with my left hand fingers when I am playing chords, not clamp them. I play jazz chords up to the guitar body. My thumb supports the guitar neck. The neck does not rest in the V between my thumb and my index finger. Despite this, I didn’t realize how much of my energy was going to holding up the neck and keeping the body from slipping until I tried this gadget. Suddenly the neck was where I wanted it without my having to support it. My tension cut way back, and I was able to play with much more grace, ease, and speed. Also, the guitar’s weight seems cut in half. I now sit with my feet flat on the floor, legs spread, very comfortable, and the guitar isn’t sliding, and the back of the guitar is several inches away from my body for the best tone. If you play seated, do try this. It’s definitely worth the money.

Destroys nitro finish overtime, connection gets loose overtime, total trash. This new one I just bought has a different design too, now only has one big suction cup. Complete scam, don’t buy.

I've had numerous issues with my lower back from a lifetime of manual labor, including a disk that herniated on both sides. Playing my guitar with a footstool caused me enough pain that I could only realistically practice for 15 minutes before I had to stop and recover. My teacher suggested looking at guitar supports. The first one I bought was an Ergoplay Tappert. It was solid, stabile, and well-constructed, but it seemed to hold the guitar too high on my body. I tried moving and adjusting it numerous times, but I couldn't find a way for it to work for me. My teacher was interested in it, so traded it to her for a lesson. Then I bought a Tenor TPGS+, and it has solved the problem. It's much simpler than the Ergoplay and costs less than half as much, but it holds my guitar securely. I do use a footstool with it, but set at its lowest level. It feels natural enough that I forgot I was using a guitar support once I started concentrating on the music. I bought it in mid-April. I did some experimenting initially with finding the right position for it, but I've left it in place since then (a bit over two months). I haven't had any issues with it coming loose. I can leave it on because it folds flat against the side of the guitar, and I can carry it in the case like that. And it's very unobtrusive visually when you play. I can (and frequently do) practice for hours now, without any pain at all. I'm very happy with it.

This is worth the money if you want to play a nylon string guitar comfortably. I wish I had something like this years ago. Foot supports kind of help but this is better. I've never had a support like this. . . So I cant compair it to anything similar. But I like it! Only draw back is that It's meant for high gloss finished guitars. I think mine is a mate finish and falls off. The product comes with a smooth adhesive pad so it'll work on non high gloss finished guitars. I wouldn't use it for a guitar costing, idk, $1,500 but for a beginner/intermediate level instrument why not?

Easy to setup, hold the guitar in a comfortable position, fit in my gig bag, seems to be solid. Totally pleased with this.

After 6 years, changed Guitar posture to a more classical style. Better for my playing better for my back and also strumming shoulder. So much more relaxed/balanced and consequently musicality/tone/enjoyment improved… a LOT!! An easy way to Level up!

It works well just don’t understand why it costs so much. Hope it will last for years.
