Hanes Mens 6.1 oz. Tagless ComfortSoft Long-Sleeve T-Shirt (5586)

I bought three t-shirts to compare: Fruit Of The Loom 5.6 oz Heavy Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt 4930, Hanes Adult Tagless Long Sleeve Tee and the Gildan Men's G240 Ultra Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt. Here's what I found:So that you can judge how the fit I describe will translate to you, I am 6'1", weigh 190lbs, and I wear a 35" dress-shirt sleeve. I bought the "large" size in all three shirts.I like all three of the shirts for quality and comfort, with small difference in each that may make a difference for you.Fruit of the Loom - I bought black, and it's definitely black. The fabric is the heaviest (thick but also a little stiff) of all three shirts. It fits like an Under Armour shirt, which is to say athletic -- the sleeves are tight and it's fitted in the chest. The sleeves are long enough to reach my wrists without pulling up.Hanes Adult Tagless Long Sleeve Tee (this shirt) - the black is a little on the Navy Blue side. The fabric is lighter, but not thin, and soft. There is a little extra room through the body and sleeves; it feels fitted, but not tight. The sleeves are long enough to reach my wrists without pulling up.Gildan Men's G240 Ultra Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt - I bought "Heather" and was surprised that it was slightly blue; I was expecting grey. The fabric is similar to the Hanes -- light and soft. There is a little extra fabric around the middle, but it's not a tent. The sleeves are long enough to reach my wrists without pulling up. I hesitated buying this unfamiliar brand until I realized that a shirt I've been wearing for about 6 years was a Gildan. It's held up very well, so I tried this one.

I have owned Hanes products for as long as i can remember and they have been exceptional quility and longevity, but these shirts are the complete opposite, i purchased 5 long sleeve orange shirts for work, and cycle through them as needed. Every single shirt has developed holes in the arm pits ranging from a finger to a fist size hole. I purchased these in September, less then 6 months ago. I have never been so disappointed in a peice of clothing then i am with these shirts.

Second time purchased, wearing one right now.I buy these for summer - reduce skin exposure when outside gardening and such. I buy them for winter when I want to layer-up. They are excellent fit - XL for me - and they are really XL, not L or XXL! They look good enough for wear under an unbuttoned shirt or alone.No tag - I hate those things scratching the back of the neck. They are also long enough that when tucked in - they stay tucked.For summer, they wick the sweat well and don't make me overheat like some non cotton shirt may.. The sleeves also have good elasticity so when I push them up, they stay up and don't then sag and drag in the future. I don't like baggy, saggy, sleeves either and these shirts keep doing the job there.Another problem with some long sleeve tees is the arms are too tight and after a while wearing they harass the hair on the arms. Not a big thing to suffer, but it is a reason to take it off after a while. These shirts are good fit on the forearms and don't fight too tight.They clean up well enough after gardening or dropping some bbq sauce or whatever down the front as well. Little extra shot of liquid soap on a spot and the cotton seems to release any oils or other stuff I manage to acquire.Summary, they work all seasons, fit well, last and wear well over time, looking pretty good despite hard wear. I will purchase some more again in year or two.

Hanes put together a really nice long sleeved shirt at very reasonable price. Material feels good, length of sleeves is to the wrists. Can be worn under a shirt or sweat top for that extra warmth when the weather turns cooler. If you work in a cold place, good any time of the year.

Purchased 8 (2 each in 4 colors) loved the colors, not the material it is stiff and somewhat heavy, (FYI: I believe the reviews vary because all models of the Haines Adult Long Sleeve Tees are lumped into these reviews-but they are not the same, the version I purchased had a very small Neck, others say they are "comfort tees " and have a lower cut, larger neck. It would be helpful if reviewers named both the model & the seller in the title on these " Includes all " reviews since Amazon does not separate or has a filter that includes model type and seller. I read many reviews that the complaint is on the seller not the product.) Size is terrible. Let me say I believe size depends on the country where it is made. Haines Ts come from 3 countries that I know of. These were from Hati. Spouse wears a med. made in China. I ordered the large, I tried it on and it was to small for me and the neck was to tight, so returned. while waiting for the return I ordered a single shirt in a 2X, before reordering the eight in the larger size. When it arrived I immediately washed it with the thought it would shrink to a 1X, it did shrink somewhat, again tried it on, again the neck was to tight, the body fit but was snug and the arms were to long for me, that's when I gave up, once again knowing there was no way my hubby could wear one of these shirts, so I did not reorder- instead bought similar shirts by Fruit of the Loom at a local store so hubby could return and get a proper fit if needed. The only good thing about the transaction was the seller-no problem with return and refund. Did not return the one I washed because I had asked and knew it would not be returnable if I washed it.

One sleeve was 3 inches longer than the other. In other words, one sleeve was 3 inches shorter than the other. Plus, the cotton is so rough I can use it to polish the silver.

Well, its a long sleeve shirt, not much to really say about it. it fit as it should, I generally wear a large, and ordered the same and it fit comfortably. The only thing is it felt a little stiffer than regular shirts, which im hoping will change when I wash it. Other than that its a good shirt, and fair priced for what it was.

This T Shirt is very good quality, the colours don't fade or wash out in a 60 degree wash. This is the second one I have bought as i was very pleased with it.

Great weight, great price, keeps it shape, very happy with purchase. Delivery from the states is not quick, however, they are well worth waiting for.

Just what was wanted

I ordered a total of twelve shirts of various sizes for a school event. Three shirts showed up and then the company cancelled the rest of the order. We needed twelve identical shirts thus the three we got are useless to us. Not happy that this occurred.
