HECS Hunting 3-Piece HECStyle Camo Suit - Deer, Big Game & Turkey Hunting Suits for Men and Women

Bought this for my husband. He wore the outfit on Sat. to go deer hunting. Was in the wood for about 2 hours and he shot his deer. This has made him a firm believer that the HECS does work.

So, I was skeptical. I hunt archery only 5 days a week, but decided I would give HECS a try. The first morning I had a spike bed down in front of a water oak 40 yds in front of me (but the wind was right and it could just be coincidence).BUT, I have since spot stalked 2 Louisiana bucks in the wide open just to see how close i could get, both times I was able to get within 50 yards of them without either buck getting spooky at all. I would have NEVER believed this would be possible. There was only knee high grass between us, the deer would look up at me for a minute, then go back to grazing.Also, I killed a 6 point last week while i was hunting on the ground. The deer stepped out behind me, and when I turned and noticed him he was staring at me....BUSTED right????? well, I just froze. I had the HECS pants, shirt, and hood on. The buck calmed down and walked on out within 30 yds of me and I killed him.I can't tell you unequivocally that HECS works 100% of the time, but I CAN tell you it damn sure doesn't hurt anything, and after a few weeks of REAL field testing in actual hunting scenarios. I believe it is a game changer.

Tried the HECS suit last weekend and I was impressed from what I saw.Design: I'm 6 Ft & 185 Lbs and the Large fits nice. Not too tight or baggy. Mossy Oak Camo pattern is nice. The Camo is VERY light weight which was GREAT during 90 degree days aka opening weekend bow season. One morning it was in the 50s so I used it as a base layer and it felt like a looser fitting base layer which was fine.Results: It seemed to work extremely well with birds and squirrels. Had two owls land within 10 yards of me and never saw me. It was kind of strange but cool. Only saw a few deer because of the heat but they didn't seem to be on edge as much. Curious to see more results.

If you believe in the product or not is one thing. But if you’re paying $180 for a base layer anything it should be better quality. This fabric has a plastic feeling on the inside. It looks in the pictures like the sports material like under armor. It’s far from it. The fabric is thin but does not breathe. Tried it on for 5 minutes max and was already drenched in sweat. If the concept does work I’ll be so sweaty the animals will smell me for miles. I love the pattern on it. But couldn’t be less interested to wear it as it’s not comfortable.Went against my better judgement and tried this “base layer” in the woods. At 28degrees I was sweating. This fabric does not breathe. Because I was sweating I was cold no matter what I put on. Didn’t see any animals because I couldn’t stay in the woods. Can’t tell you if it actually works. Clearly the YouTube reviews are paid because I don’t know who could wear these for an actual back country Hunt. Wouldn’t suggest putting this on the outside of the clothing as there is a shine to the fabric. It illuminates in sunlight, and is definitely not waterproof. If I could return it I would simply due to the reaction of the fabric. My loss. Don’t let it be your loss too.

I got in my blind this morning to get one of the bucks on private property, and there were two large grey coyotes about 130 yards away. Since the deer clearly weren’t coming in I walked up on the remaining coyotes. I was right next to it, and then I called it a mean name, and it hopped away. Bottom line is I am a believer in Hecs, and anyone who hunts needs it.

This is my second HEC's suit. I have worn the first one for big game hunting (deer) for many years. I have had to hunt on the ground as a result of falling out of a tree stand. This suit actually works, I have had deer walk up to me an just look at me acting like I'm not there or don't know what I am, same thing with squirrels. You still have to watch the wind, but I do that anyway. I'm not sure I like this new camo design, but time will tell. I use the HEC's suit under my outer hunting clothes so shouldn't be a problem.

I have been a fan since the first pair I bought 8 years ago. This new pattern I’ll have to review but blends well in Florida. Now my cons only one. The old sets had a draw string at the waist still have 5 pairs that work but now they have a elastic waist worn them once and it is starting to curl over. But still the best for getting close

Science makes sense but still somewhat skeptical. Interesting that on the first hunt, had a squirrel come within a few feet of me and just hang out for a couple minutes, which was a first for what it is worth. Will have to keep testing, but difficult to have solid evidence on how deer can process emf fields, but can't hurt to put on.
