I was impressed by the mounting brackets. They are heavier than I expected. The turnbuckles seem to be strong enough too. Stainless steel hardware, like screws, deform more rasily than regular plated steel screws, so try to use a new screwdriver bit to help reduce damage to the phillips head. Maybe drill a pilot hole in harder woods. All in sll a good kit

I use these for outdoor sunshade installations. Suncloth panels that are also available on Amazon in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and colors. These panels all come with sewn in D ring attachment points or in some cases sewn in eyes. Installed properly the panels will shade windows or outdoor spaces effectively and also will endure wind and weather. Those installations will almost always be better, properly tensioned and longer lasting with this fastener kit. These stainless attachment assortments make it possible to install the shades in almost every situation. The screw on rings provide attachment points on drill-able structures or deck framing. The turnbuckles are essential for getting the tension right on a sunshade. These stainless parts come with the proper screws for installation. But be aware stainless is a soft metal. The screw heads are easily stripped out if the wrong screwdriver bit is used or if care is not used when tightening them. Drill the right sized hole for each screw, consider lubricant on the threads before tightening to ease turning. And choose the right screwdriver or bit. Don’t use a high speed if using an electric drill for the screwdriver bit. I have never had a part from these kits break, even when part of an installation in very strong wind conditions. If possible buy a few more of these parts than you think you will need. Particularly the turnbuckles. Having the right part at the right time can mean the difference between a great long lasting installation or a compromised one. And a very good partner to these kits is stainless vinyl covered braided cable. Sometimes attachment points will need a length of cable to reach a sunshade D ring for your best installation. You can use rope but it will often stretch and in time will break. The cable does not suffer these issues.

I bought this kit to install my large shade sail and it contains everything you need: tension hooks, carabiners, and wall mounts. The 304 Grade stainless steel feels robust and looks like it will hold up well against rust. However, the 6-inch turnbuckles felt a little small for getting the massive amount of tension needed on a large 10'x13' sail (like my Artpuch). They work, but it takes a lot of effort to get a truly taut line. It’s a great starting kit, especially for smaller sails or if you don't mind upgrading the turnbuckles later. A good value for the quality of the hardware.
