A MUST Buy for Pilots! Show it to Prospective Pilots-to-Be!!!
Well documented and produced. Bob Hoover is one of the last REAL aviation legends. This guy was one of my childhood inspirations - used to go to Oshkosh just to watch him perform with his "Lemon Yellow - Old Yeller" P-51 and the Shrike Commander! What a performed and physics-based aviation performer! Remember: This man TAUGHT his flight instructors how to REALLY fly! You've got to see this documentary, if you really consider yourself to be in love with aviation and its many special wonders.

Best Movie of the Year!
So grateful that I was able to see him fly, get his autograph and have photos taken with this amazing man and that my children were also able to see him fly before he retired. Thank goodness this movie was made - Bob Hoover was an amazing pilot. A movie about him could not be bad! He will be missed in the aviation community and this movie will be an education for new pilots who never had the chance to actually see him in the air. I will be watching it over and over again.

Inspiring. There will NEVER be another Bob Hoover.
This video is inspiring and enjoyable, epsecially if you are interested in aviation. Bob Hoover was a living legend. The world lost him a couple weeks ago on Oct. 25 2016. Harrison Ford has a conversation with Bob about his one of a kind career as a legendary test pilot, air show pilot, safety pilot and a hundred other things. I found it interesting that Mr. Ford refers to Bob as his friend and not the other way around.

If you ever had a chance to go to the Reno air races and see Bob perform you will really enjoy this.
If you ever had a chance to go to the Reno air races and see Bob perform you will really enjoy this. If you never had the that opportunity, this video will help you appreciate what you missed. Bob Hoover was a gentleman's gentleman and a pilot's pilot. He was a real class act. Of all of the pilots in the world there are very few, in my opinion, who come close. I played it for my wife who has never had any interest in aviation and she enjoyed so much she watched it twice. It is a beautiful story of Bob's life and includes some fantastic video footage displaying Bob's unbelievable flying ability. You don't have to be an aviation buff do enjoy this video but it helps. I thought the shot of Charles Lindberg was a real special treat.

A pilot's pilot story!
This film is very well done and I have always thought of Bob Hoover as a personal hero of mine. I was at the 1964 Reno Air Races and saw Bob fly his yellow Mustang and I was amazed and inspired by his ability to control "Ole Yeller"! This film is well worth its price for anyone interested in the personalities and the history of aviation.

You must see this film!
This is an excellent documentary focused on our greatest living pilot, and one of the greatest pilots of all time. The film helps to address the fact that Mr. Hoover's vast accomplishments are virtually unknown outside of the pilot community.Bob Hoover's story is one of perseverance and determination that will appeal to anyone. He began by taking a few flying lessons and discovered to his great disappointment that he was prone to airsickness. He overcome this by flying those maneuvers that made him feel the worst, until he was finally able to conquer it. He wanted to become a fighter pilot, and was the right age to get involved in the build up to WW2. His primary military flight instructor was so impressed with his flying ability that Hoover was soon teaching the instructors. The story of his flying accomplishments after that is legendary. Fighter pilot, test pilot for North American Aviation, and air show performer extraordinaire, he dazzled millions with his exhibitions of precision flying. I personally witnessed his extraordinary skill as a child in the mid-sixties when my Dad took us to the Reading, PA airshows.I heartily recommend this film to everyone, and is an absolute must-see for aviation buffs. Bob Hoover's modest, easy going nature is refreshing to see in this age of "look at me" attitudes that prevail in our society.

I was fortunate enough to see Mr
I was fortunate enough to see Mr. Hoover a couple times at OSH. I held off buying the documentary because of the price and thinking it would be just your normal (boring) documentary film. I finally watched it when it came out for rent on amazon, and after viewing it I wish I would have bought the thing when it came out. This video captures the essence of Hoover and aviation perfectly. If anyone has any interest in Hoover or aviation- do not miss this video!
