It’s nice to have the official Trick Or Treat Studios Book Of The Dead replica. That being said, it is a little flimsy in my opinion. The pages inside are done really good though I think. The images are clear and the pages do kinda look aged. They should’ve put more pages in it to fill it up so it doesn’t look so much like a school binder. All in all it’s a decent replica…

I believe I’ve summoned a demon or two, but you know, kinda comes with the territory. 10/10, would recommend.

This is nothing like the picture and it's a piece of junk for the price. I definitely wont order anything from this company again. What a waste and now I have to find a better version of this book and spend even more money. Do not buy this if you are looking for an accurate prop. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Well, to start, I am a huge fan of the Evil Dead franchise. I, like many other fans, have been waiting for some sort of official Book of the Dead reproduction. While we do finally get one here, it has some flaws to it.For starters, the cover, in my opinion, looks really good. Some people have complained about it, but the version I received, looks really good. The back, while it is missing the ear, looks really good as well. Not having the ear is another complaint by some fans, but is not a deal-breaker for me.Now, one of the major issues a lot of people have is that it looks exactly like a school binder, and in all honesty, it does. While in a few shots in the movie, it does seem to have that shape, but what we get here is a cheap school binder with latex on the cover and back. This would have been ok, but it just looks really cheap the way it is done here. While I do understand they are mass-produced, it just comes off as not being done really well.To follow up the binder look, if more pages were added or made to look older and beat up, it might not be as bad. But, the other major complaint is that the pages are way too clean, and in fact they are. Again, I get it, mass-produced, but put some aging process into it for them to look better and weathered. The pages that they do have are really cool, but according to some people, this is missing pages according to the movie version. While I am a fan, I honestly cannot confirm that it is missing pages. What is here, the pages are way too smooth and not weathered enough, if at all. The end of the pages are a bit ripped and frayed, but this does only so much to take away the fact that the rest of the page is completely clean.My biggest complaint would be the price. For $90, this should have been done a hell of a lot better. I legit would pay no more than maybe $35-40 for this reproduction. What you get is a school binder with cool latex covering and photocopied pages with some fraying on the ends of the pages. In my opinion, this does not equate to paying $90.I hope Trick or Treat does attempt this again in the future, especially since it has been announced that there will be a new movie in the future, but they need to step up their game and make it look like an old weathered Book of the Dead, instead of a school binder.If you want one of these to have for your Evil Dead collection, check online for cheaper prices before spending the $90.
