Is this heat resistant

We have it underneath our hearth rug without any problems from heat. However, this product fails to hold the rug in place, as advertised. Would not recommend!

Could this be used safely in a shower?

No, it floats. Would end up tripping you up

Is this tacky to the touch? I want to use it on plastic serving trays and also on a tiled floor to stop the dog slipping when eating. his food.

This product works for me, but I use it as a holder-in-place for my sofa cushions. It is a bit sticky, or rubbery, so I do not think it would be easy to clean it of dirt. I would not use it as a top layer on a floor.

is this suitable for an outdoor path in the rain ?
