how manypounds of jerky wil it hold?

I've put just over 5 pounds of deer jerky with no problem. But when the outside starts to condensate the wheels slip. Just dry them off and good to go for a bit longer.

Does stx international stx-1000-ce chef's elite work with 220v 50hz power supply?

No, 110v only and no separate power supply adapter to replace. But since marinator power consumption is pretty low (4W according to manual), you can use any 220v to 110v converter. There are a lot of them on Amazon, you need something like this - http://www.amazon.com/Simran-Converter-Internatonal-Countries-Protection/dp/B0002XMFCGI bought my for less than $10 and marinator working OK with it.

will a whole chicken fit in the drum?

Yes, a whole chicken can be marinated. We love our marinating tumbler, and have used it for more than 5 years! We use it several times a werk.
