Tested gas line. Worked as expected.
For the price it's an excellent tool. Maybe just for a one time job or more. I can't speak to the longevity but it appears well made. I figure a long as you take care of it it'll last. I ran a csst line in combination with black pipe stub out. I used a handheld air compressor to get it to 10 psi. It held for over 15 min. Propane company came out and hooked me up. This helped to insure the job was done right and safe

To presure up a new gas line to check for gas leaks. Still holding after over 24 hrs. Just screwed it on and the the air compressor needle stuck didn't move took glass plate off smashed th bent part back and it moved past 30 to 0 blead line back to 30. Works now but was damaged in shipping i guess

Solidly Built, Good Value
The gauge assembly is solidly made, and didn't leak anywhere. It came with a metal bleeder/cap, not the black plastic cap shown in the illustration. If you mount it in a fixed position, you would not notice, that the reading fluctuates about the width of the pointer tip depending on the orientation of the gauge. I found that if held 90 degrees CCW from horizontal, the gauge reading would increase, and if held 90 degrees CW from horizontal, the gauge reading would decrease. For portable usage such as checking for leaks, remember to take each reading with the gauge in the same orientation.

The gauge did its job and held pressure without issue.
Good product.

Guage won't hold pressure.
When I received the unit, I noticed that there didn't appear to be any sealant on the gauge or Shrader valve. Tried using it as shipped and it leaked badly. Sprayed all of my connections with soapy water and no leaks were evident in any of those connections. Sprayed test unit and found leaks in it. Took gauge and Shrader valve off and wrapped them with Teflon tape only to still have pressure loss. Double checked all my connections again and found no leaks. Took test unit off system and put a plug in the end. Unit still wouldn't hold pressure. Soapy water showed no air leaks at the plug. Must be leaking through the gauge itself as where they were threaded into the body of the chrome cap showed no leaks. Turned out to be a total waste of time.

Left connected for days. Doesn’t leak.
Love this thing. It’s simple, doesn’t leak. It’s been connected for a month. Pressure goes up and down with temperature. Solid piece of test equipment.
