for a small dog how many tiny ones are in a 24 ounce bag?

I don't know never counted them. I do cut mine in 1/2 so they get treated 2X's a day. My dogs are cocker spaniels, one chews their treat up better than the other one. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

What comprises “natural chicken flavors”? Has manufacturer considered removing food colorings? The ingredients list otherwise seems pretty good.

The ingredient list is about as good as any dental treat I have seen. Breath fresheners are all natural. My girl's favorite treat.
