Overall I like the pieces very much but, the paint job is not good at all. Also, already broke 3 pieces in a month. Not happy about that but the vendor understands and is replacing them. So I have repainted the pieces with more vibrancy. Also gave them a better base. Took me about 3 weeks between normal stuff I have to do. If anyone wants me to paint them for you let me know. But I can’t guarantee that they don’t break. Never took a complete before and after but the Queen is an example of before and after.

In 2 months both queens have been beheaded, both bishops have lost their feet, both bishops have had the tops of their hats removed (which I didn't both to super glue back on). VERY FRAGILE. Each time just dropped from like 3-4 inches above the table and they break. Besides that though they are very cool and very detailed.

My husband was excited like a little kid when he opened the box. I wanted to brighten the red and gold colors, so I painted the chess set, I used red nail polish and liquid gold leaf paint. You’ll need a magnifying glass and a very fine paint brush and tooth picks and lots of patience. This is tedious work, but it’s worth it. I have the chess set on displayed in my living room and everyone who sees it gazed in awe and then the compliment follows.

WRight out of the box the chess piece man was broken but I did not order it for the chess piece. I only wanted the glass chessboard so be advised the quality of the chess men pieces 0 to 10 I give it a zero craftsmanship is not good at all. If you do decide to order it, make sure you buy superglue. You will need it.

ONE OF THE ROMAN CENTURIES WHEN DROPPED ON A CARPETED FLOOR BROKE AT THE ANKLES. EVEN WITH GORILLA GLUE IT COULDN’T BE FIXED. I NEED ANOTHER REPLACEMENT.

Faded, dirty, discolored, used, and worn pieces that looked nothing like the elaborate and vividly hued figures in the advertised pictures. Purchased as a birthday gift. Contacted the seller and wanted a replacement to which they agreed, but once verified in UPS the seller would not ship the replacement until they got it back the original purchase and compared it to their "new" replacement and then the sellers stated they would give a full refund. I wanted the set in new condition as advertised. I believe the sellers are being deceptive and keep shipping the defective set as new.

I loveeee this chess set. I will use it as a center piece for my living room. I just wish that it came with a box. It was packaged in styrofoam but that does not take away from the quality or beauty of this purchase.
