Deep and scriptural
Read on advice of a friend. As one who strives to serve the Lord but can get caught up in emotions and doubt and fear this book offer thoughtful advice about how to change the way you think about your emotions. They hold you back, make others avoid or can be pushed aside, but Mrs. Thompson does a wonderful job of bringing in scripture to let us set our eyes and hearts on Jesus and God, what can we do, practically, daily to use our depth of emotions to further the work of God? Excellent way to start or end your day with well thought out prompts for journaling as well as praying.n

Eye opening
When I read the description on this book, I knew I had to read it. I have struggled for years to name, much less process my emotions. For most people, emotions are like a thunderstorm. Noisy and dramatic for a time, but then it ends. But for me, emotions felt more like a tidal wave. It swells and looms large. Then it crashes in on you and pounds you relentlessly. You find yourself gasping for breath and worn out. It can make you feel like you are drowning. But this book helped me pinpoint the reason why: I am as deep feeler. I suspected it before I turned the first page. The short quiz in this book confirmed it. I have always hated this part of myself. Something that would barely cause a blip for someone else can completely devastate me. I've often feared my feelings and have tried stuffing them. But for a deeper feeler, that's like trying to stop a volcano from erupting. Eventually the pressure will become too much and it will blow. This book has helped me make peace with this part of myself. The author is definitely a kindred spirit. But this book is NOT just for deep feelers. She also has much to say to steady and reluctant feelers as well. Feelings are not good or bad. They just are. If you struggle to accept and process emotions, read this book. Elizabeth shares her struggles and incorporates humor, but this book is also built on Scripture. God loves all types of feelers and can handle even the darkest and most intense emotions. This book will give you a lot to think and pray about. I definitely intend to reread it.

Validating, Biblical & Practical Way to Deal with Feelings!
As soon as I heard about this book I pre-ordered a copy and also jumped at the chance to receive an advanced manuscript of the book to preview it, because Elizabeth’s previous books “When God Says Wait” and “When God Says Go” have been life-changing for me and so many of my friends. In each book she deals with difficult topics in such an honest and relatable way, but doesn’t skimp on the depth of biblical truths ... and this book did not disappoint in the least with that reputation!I have found this book to be incredibly validating of all types of feelers, while surprisingly practical in dealing with such a complex topic. Lately I’ve found myself feeling more at ease with my uneasy emotions because this book is helping me have some easy-to-use tools to untangle them. For anyone who’s been encouraged to start the practice of journaling but might not know where to begin, this is the book to guide you through!

Uplifting
This book provides a refreshing look at emotions and how they are totally normal, plus how to process them in a healthier way. Unlike a lot of pop psychology, this book avoids jargon and is relatable for anyone. Elizabeth’s tone is uplifting and funny, and she has done the tough work of examining the human heart and how it relates to God’s.

Just what I need!
This book is so good and just so right for helping me deal with my crazy emotions that I already bought one for my niece and I’m buying another copy for a friend!Elizabeth is so real and I can almost feel her talking since her writing is somewhat conversational. I feel like she is speaking to me. And then she adds in examples fo her life so it brings her teachings to life. But the best part is her use of scriptures so accurately and delicately. Not twisting the meaning to get a book out of it. She is so thoughtful in honoring God’s word and allowing it to speak to my heart and change my life.I’m in love with this book and hope to lead a book club with this book.

All of the Emotions we experience serve a purpose
I pre-ordered "All the Feels" the moment I read the author's post about it's future release several months ago and I am glad I did! This book does a deep-dive into the spectrum of our emotions and gives the reader a biblically-sound roadmap to processing them. A bonus is the "feelings assessment" that helps the reader understand where you may fall on the spectrum of emotions: Big Feeler; Steady Feeler; Reluctant Feeler. The author addresses each type of feeler then goes deeper speaking to a variety different emotions and provides practicals to help the reader understand, embrace the emotion and ways to resolve it (love the 20 minute rule!). Also included with each chapter are journal and prayer prompts if you like to journal while reading the book.I received an advanced copy of the book in exchange for reviewing this book.

Such a helpful resource!!
Elizabeth does it again! I connect so much to this author and her writing. I feel like she’s writing directly to me as if we’re girlfriends grabbing time at our regular coffee shop. She’s so easy to read but still so captivating and moving. There are moments where I feel like she has been a fly on my wall knowing every detail about me!! Our family has been using this book to describe the types of “feelers” we are. And what do you know?! We have one big feeler (me), one steady feeler AND a reluctant feeler. Very helpful guide in our family conversations but I’ve also been reading this with other young women and we’ve been loving learning and growing together.
