The finished model looks awesome with the wide rear slicks, hood scoop, and aggressive Pro Street stance it definitely stands out on the shelf. The kit includes over 110 parts with a detailed engine, tubbed chassis, and displayable engine stand, which gives it a lot of character for a Skill Level 2 build. I also liked that it gives you enough detail to make it feel like a real project without being overwhelming. It’s a good balance for someone who has built a few kits before and wants something more interesting than a basic snap-together model. Paint and glue are required, so it feels like a proper hobby build and not just a quick assembly. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that, like many older AMT kits, it does need some patience. There’s a bit of flash on some parts and some fitment issues, so trimming, sanding, and test fitting are definitely important. Still, once finished, it looks fantastic and has that old school drag car attitude that makes it worth the extra work. If you like classic Chevys and don’t mind a little extra fitting, this is a really satisfying kit to build.

Mold lines and flash are all over. It's building alright but could be better. Worth the 20 bucks for a kit to use for parts
