yes, it is, these endless hoops are made of 14k gold-filled wire, which has a thick layer(100 times thicker than gold plated) of 14k solid gold mechanically bonded on copper, fade-resistant, so you can shower and sleep with it.

What size is best for a second and third hole?

Please measure the distance from the hole to the ear(nose) edge, suggested add 1mm- 2mm to your measurement (add 1mm for tight fit, add 1.5- 2mm for a loose fit).
