Lascal KiddyGuard Bannister Installation Kit for Locking Strip, Black

We have stainless steel cable railings on our staircase and due to the wires coming in to the bannister at an angle this does not attach at all. Instead we just attached the locking strip to the stainless steel with metal epoxy. Its holding great, and is a lot less clunky than this bannister install kit would be. When we do want to take the gate down a heat gun will remove the epoxy without damaging the stainless steel. Epoxy is a lot less expensive as well.

These come with zero instructions just parts and photos. There are also no videos online that have any actual instructions so you are left guessing what the extra parts are about. Finally, on one part of the Lascal gate you need a different type of banister installation kit, so be sure you have the right type.

Maximum banister size it can accomodate is smaller than the standard American banister. So, yeah, measure before you order. I ended up returning this then staining a piece of 1x3 to match the banister, attaching it to banister with zip ties and screwing the bracket to the 1x3. Looks presentable and gets the job done.

Must for baby gate installation

Item shipped quickly and arrived without issue. The seller emailed me afterwards to ensure I had no problems.The item itself works as expected and explained. Like those below, my banister is too large, and I only ended up using one of the three brackets. I fell into this trap because I was unable to properly picture in my mind how the whole setup would work.In the end, I had to drill holes in the top and bottom of my banister and secure the "latch" piece of the baby gate with screws.But there were no problems whatsoever with the seller or delivery of the product!

Pretty easy to install once you watch a you tube video on line. Works great.

We have several small children and a dog that require containment. We have two stairwells that have bannister rails at the bottom. This makes it very difficult to find a gate. We have had lots of experience with child safety gates over the past 8 years and this fastener and the gate by Lascal that it is made for has solved our problem. We will likely leave this gate in place after the children have grown, both for the dog and also for any guests who bring small children into our home.

Completely useless as vital parts were missing; I wouldn't have known if I hadn't bought the same kit from somewhere else. Then again both purchases were waste of money. These kits only fits for a specific limited configuration; you need a minimum height of your railing or stair post, which must also have very small and squared stair posts or bars. They cannot be round. Nothing of this is stated in the product information, on the contrary there are illustrations showing them mounted on both round bars and much larger stair posts. Not sure if this product even is safe and approved by EU.

Il kit comprende esclusivamente i tre pezzi su cui assicurare la striscia (che invece è fornita con il KiddyGuard).Questo kit non è da confondere con il LA12560, che ne contiene solamente due, necessario per fissare il KiddyGuard Avant ad un tubolare.L'installazione è abbastanza semplice, nella confezione sono forniti due spessori e delle bande di gomma per effettuare il tutto correttamente. Il fissaggio risulta sicuro e avviene esclusivamente con le viti fornite nel kit, non è necessario nient'altro. L'unico piccolo difetto è che nella parte posteriore (quella opposta al passaggio) è un po'ingombrante e non esattamente bellissimo da vedere.Lascal resta comunque una certezza in tema di sicurezza, qualità e usabilità

Ich habe die Lascal 12561 Rohrhalterungen 3er Set als Zubehör zum Artikel "Lascal 12506 Kiddy Guard Accent, Tür- und Treppenschutzgitter, schwarz" gekauft, aber entgegen einer Videoanleitung, wo die ganze Montage konderleicht aussieht, habe ich echte Probleme mit der Anbringung jeder Rohrhalterung an der Aufschnappschiene vom Treppenschutzgitter. Man braucht ziemlich viel Kraft und Geduld, um dieses Kunststück zu schaffen. Auch die Konstruktion ist nicht besonders gut durchdacht und die Befestigung am Treppengeländer ist ziemlich umständlich.

Das Rohrhalterungssystem ist optimal , allerdings musste ich zunächst eine 2-er Halterung zurücksenden, da ich noch eine 3-er Rohrhalterung brauchte. Mit der funktionierte dann alles 100 prozentig .Achtung : Bei der Bestellung fand ich nicht deutlich genug den Hinweis, dass zum Treppenschutz von Lascal ein 3-er Rohrhalterungssystem und ein 2-er Rohrhalterungssystem gehören muss . Sonst hätte ich nicht zuerst zweimal ein 2-er Set Rohrhalterungen bestellt .

Das Rollo funktioniert. Allerdings ist die Bedienung mit nur einer Hand in der Hälfte der Fälle nicht möglich, da die Einrastautomatik konstruktionsbedingt nicht korrekt funktioniert. Mit einem Kleinkind auf dem Arm also nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen.
