NapoleonLemon Sours Hard Candy, 7lb Bag

Napoleon Lemon Sours Hard Candy do not have a liquid center but there is a round core which is where most of the sour is. Not quite as sour as I was hoping but still a great hard candy. The other thing that I wasn't excited about is that it fractures quite easily, so does not last as long as something that maybe is the same "material" all the way through. Once it fractures I find it hard NOT to chew it.I would buy again, if I couldn't find something MORE sour and doesn't fracture so easily.

These Lemon drops are excellent, especially if you have issues making spit. I also have had laryngitis for the last few years and my throat is always dry. These are fantastic to help you stop coughing. My only problem with this order is that they come seriously broken. It is extremely irritating. The sending company needs to use better padding so the balls don't get broken in transit. S/H I would only give a 1/2 of a star. I have made two orders for the 7 pounder. Hopefully management will see this post an make sure there is plenty of padding for future orders.Pics below of what the drops look like when they come broken. You can't really tell until you unwrap them. Sure hope they change something with the packaging. because we love these things!

I buy these in bulk because they are amazing. I've always been a fan of lemon candy, but lately I've had another reason for ordering these in 7 pound increments...chemotherapy. These candies do a wonderful job of helping with dry mouth, and ease my nausea. A lot of other patients have said the same thing, which initially I worried wouldn't prove to be true. Obviously everyone is different with their taste buds and chemo, but for me these candies have really been a wonderful thing to have. There is always a handful within reach, in hospital bags, purses, night stand drawers, etc. You don't have to be sick to love them, which is something I also appreciate. I can share them with friends who aren't going through chemo, while I get the benefit of enjoying them, too.

Deliciously tart, these have been a regular purchase, often requested by co-workers and customer alike. The most recent order had too many broken pieces to display on my desk. The outer packaging was just fine so the breakage occured before the product was ever bagged up and definitely before it shipped.I would say that approximately 80% of the candies were broken or cracked before they were packaged in the bag. I'd thought it might just be the outer ones, so I decided to grab a handful from the center just to check. I unwrapped 20 of them and only 4 were unbroken. The tight wrapping keeps them in the spherical shape so they look like they are fine, but once unwrapped they just fall apart. Sometimes just in half, or in a few shards, but some are completely shattered. It has been an interesting experience to say the least, but certainly not what I was hoping for, and definitely NOT anything I've experienced before.I am truely amazed at the quality of the plastic used to wrap these little gems. A Kevlar substitute perhaps? It could be that they cooled too fast or a hopper was overloaded, or maybe someone was practicing their golf swing.

I first tasted these hard candies when I went to college in New York, and have been a fan ever since. The sour center hidden in a sweet coating is great. It's about the only candy I like. I hadn't found a place to buy them in the Washington DC area, so I'm glad they're available on line. I wish there were a package smaller than seven pounds, which lasts me several years. But it's worth allocating closet space to store it, in order to have one of these treats when I'm in the mood.

These came highly recommended to me for people/friends/family who are battling cancer and have lost their sense of taste and/or have a dry mouth. Not only are they delicious, but they actually work with helping people with cancer be able to taste them or get some saliva back in their mouth. Wonderful! Such a blessing. And they're the ONLY ones that work this way.

Ridiculously addictive. Down more than half a bag in under a month among my family members. Love that there's a subtle lemon flavor initially, but then a more sour inside at the end. So delicious
