I’m very impressed with the Espoma Organic Raised Bed Mix. It has a fresh, clean smell with absolutely no manure or overpowering odors, which is a huge plus. Living in the subtropical climate of Southwest Florida, I found that it retains moisture very well, keeping my plants hydrated without becoming soggy. I successfully grew multiple varieties of vegetables—including eggplant, green beans, and several herbs and spices—all started from seed. Additionally, I grew beautiful zinnias, sunflowers, and even dandelions using this mix. The soil supports robust root development and overall healthy plant growth. The plants continue to grow big and strong because of the solid foundation given by this mix. Another great benefit is that it has helped keep bug and pest infestations low, which made caring for my plants easier and less stressful. It was worth every penny, and the product shipped quickly. Heavier and more then I thought gor the price. Good quality and rich looking soil.

I recently decided to start a vegetable and fruit garden in pots and a raised bed. But before I can transplant, I needed to start some seeds. I purchased some small cups with holes in the bottom and a plastic cover with holes to help hold in moisture. I add the Espoma Organic Raised Bed Mix, lightly watered, made a hole in the middle of the soil and put in seeds. I started watermelon, cantaloupe, kale, collards, mini bell peppers, strawberries and cucumber. In one cup, I put the bottom of a stalk of celery. Every single seed has sprouted and growing very well. Even the celery has a bunch of green leaves in the center. I purchased the soil specifically because buying all the items needed to have good soil is expensive. This soil has everything you need to ensure your garden has a good start. The only downside is the cost. But like I said buying everything separate costs more and it would sit in storage during the summer. Regardless, if you can afford a bag, I highly recommend getting the soil.

Used this soil in my garden bed and my garden is growing really well.

Mostly wood, looks like mulch. Very disappointed. I bought 6 bags to fill 2 brand new raised garden beds. The seeds came up 3 weeks ago and they are not growing now they are turning yellow. I'm going to try to save them with fertilizer even though they claim it has organic fertilizer in it.

I don't believe the soil is organic and all nature, as it has very strong chemical odor when bag is opened. I have to expose the soil in open air for several days.
