could you convert this into an outdoor above ground pond?

Sure. I have two of these stock tanks that I converted to turtle ponds. Mine are indoor, but they are plenty sturdy and durable to handle the outdoors. I drilled holes in my tanks and added bulkheads for the intake and return of my filtration system.

Artificial antique tub with drainage?

Doesn’t come with a hole . You have to drill it out and buy the insert that comes with a plug
