0.5 Liter Pump

I have dysphasia so it's tough for me to swallow thin liquids. I love this product! It's much easier to use than the powders and there's no residual powders at the bottom of the bowl or glass after the thickener is stirred in. The only complaint I have is it's expensive. Other than that, I think it works perfect.

My husband did not want to have thickener to drink, but he was having a lot of trouble swallowing. This was recommended by my husband's speech therapist for his Dysphagia, and a travel packet was used during his therapy session for him to try. He drank with no problem and said there was no odd taste or after taste. I like how I am able the gradually decrease the amount he needs to drink. My husband has gone from 4 pumps for 8 oz liquids to 3 pumps every 8 oz. I do prefer the liquid rather than the powder.. and its easy to pump everything in a bottle and shake it to mix. The color is tan, unlike the travel packets, but the taste and texture but whem mixed the beverage tastes the same. I did order this as a subscription, but just canceled and opted for the bigger Simply Thick. My husband is between honey and nectar thickness at the moment, he will be on thickener for a while.

I like that the product the product is in liquid form the pump dispensed easily, although if you don’t use it for a day you need to reach up with a paper towel and clean it. because it gets hard with cake on material. It’s easier to use and most all liquids to me. It’s better than the powders and I know they have a packet to take with you which is very convenient all in all it has helped my husband on the way to recovery.

We’ve tried the large tubs of powdered thickener and the pre-measured packets, and honestly, this is better than both. The powders can clump, especially in cold drinks, and they take more time and effort to get right. With this gel, I just use the pump, stir briefly, and it’s ready. I adjust the number of pumps depending on the consistency we need—he uses honey thickness, and it’s been reliable every time. The label says it has 92 servings. I don’t count exactly, but one bottle lasts us about six weeks with daily use. We keep it at room temperature—it’s pretty much always on the dining room table for easy access. If you’re a caregiver or supporting someone recovering from aspiration pneumonia or dealing with swallowing challenges, I highly recommend this. It’s made a difficult situation a little easier.

My husband has to have mildly thick beverages. This provides the thickening needed for juices, water, and ice tea.

The product is great. The only issue is the price. The price is half of what the big bottle is, but the small bottle is less than half the size of the big bottle. $80 is already a lot, but to charge $40 for a bottle this small is insufficient.
