Perfect size for what I needed. Had a great weather seal

Looked and worked great. I needed the this box to have a flat bottom, not with the molded-in stand off's it has. So I used my benchtop drill press with a die grinder bit and sanding disk to mill them all down flat, worked fast and perfect.

I liked the price and the utility of this J box . I did not like the plastic screws !

I used a couple of these when routing my #6 wires in 3/4" liquid-tight conduit. I was able to use the 6x6 for this. Of course, the 4x4 is too small for my #6 wire situation. It is a good product. Just be prepared. To maintain watertight integrity, there are no knockouts or holes. I actually appreciated that allowing me to drill the 1" holes where I wanted them in the boxes. Likewise, drilling my own screw-size holes in the back let me mount them the way that I wanted to mount them.

No problem with delivery.Shipped/received on time and in good condition.Mounting: It would be nice if there were side tabs for mounting or at the very least a drill template included. I found it a bit tricky to mark the hole locations through the very deep screw pockets. For me personally, I made it work, but I'm a fairly handy guy with decades of experience. I suspect that someone with less developed "improvisational engineering" skills would give up and just ruin the waterproof rating by drilling out the back wall.Mounting (continued): As I was mounting the box to a cinderblock wall, it would be nice if the mounting holes accepted a larger screw size. Every electrician I know carries a box of 1/4" Red Plastic anchors. Again, I made it work, but it took an interesting combination of anchors. to accommodate the much smaller mounting screws. I suppose I could/should have gone to the hardware store to buy a smaller anchor kit, but I was running out of daylight.Lid 'Hardware': I was a little disappointed with the plastic 'captive' screws because (1) they are not truly 'captive' (i.e.: they easily fell out of the lid several times) and (2) it felt like I could easily strip the threads and/or the heads if I wasn't very careful. To that second point... I was also pleasantly surprised to find a set of replacement set of screws enclosed - they're obviously aware that this is a potential problem.Bottom line: It was the right size at the right price point and it got the job done. I would probably buy again, but not until I did a bit more research into other options.

It didn’t come with a lid.....???? Why

The box seemed good, seems like it would be a good sealed box and it's the right size for my project but the minute I tried to drill a hole for some PVC fittings the thing shattered. Ended up shredding my finger on either the bit or the box pieces (you can see the bit of blood on one of the pieces). Hoping the seller will reach out with a replacement as going through the Amazon chats is unbearable. Will update my review if I get a chance with the replacement.
