I only gave these 4 of 5 stars not because there is anything wrong with them, but because they are advertised as fitting smaller diameter oars and they do not. I had to cut up a tractor inner tube and wrap it another oar to get it to grip snugly. Other than that they are just fine and seem to be of good quality.

I had to give stars to present this review. Does NOT fit Propel Paddle Gear 72” Aluminum Oar as indicated by "frequently bought with"; the oar shaft is 1 1/4. But the quality of it seems good if it is purchased for the correct oar shaft size.

it stated that it is for a Jon Boat. Although it does not fit into the bracket that came mounted on the boat. It is too large (just a bit) tried tapping it in with a 3lb hammer, it went in about 1/2 inch. Not enough to hold it there. I measured it and it should fit. I understand it is suppose to be able to turn. Although it needs to go in! I will make it work. But it should fit when you get it.

These worked as designed. I used a thin sheet a rubber between the oarlock clamp and the oar (aluminum) to prevent scrapes and strengthen the grip. Adjusts to fit many diameters and they have the right amount of play to allow them to swivel and move properly while rowing.

They were easy to install and seem well made. Have not used them yet.
