I never knew I would need a cover for a new smart tv until I wanted to have it mounted on the wall of my screened-in deck. That meant having it outside in all four seasons of heat, cold and varying temperatures and humidity for a long time! I don't want or need a dead tv that can't be used because of corrosion from the elements so I went shopping on Amazon for the best cover I could get. This cover was here in 2 days and shielding the new tv that evening just in time for a really bad storm to pop out of nowhere. The tv would have been saturated if the cover wasn't here. I am greatly impressed by the weight of the cover and the fact that the tv is Velcro'd so well inside! The pocket for the remote is big enough to hold the remote that came with the tv and also the remote for the cable box. (The pocket also has Velcro for securing the remotes inside.). While the weight of the cover is fairly heavy, it isn't cumbersome to remove or cover the tv and it fits well - you order a 48" cover for a 48" tv and you get a cover the isn't oversized or so small you need to shimmy it over the set. Bought this to cover a 49" Roku TV I mounted to the back of our house to be viewed from our outdoor living space. It is exactly what I needed. The TV is exposed to the elements (although it does not get direct sunlight). So far I am very pleased. Ensuring I was ordering the correct size was a little tricky, but based on some other reviews I decided this was the right size and it fits fine. It could even handle a slight larger TV than 49". Since it is weatherproof, it takes a little bit of patience to ensure you have it installed properly, i.e., all of the velcro attached well on the back and on the bottom flap. But I am talking a couple of minutes. I consider it 100% rainproof when installed correctly and under normal rain conditions. If there is a storm with harsh or swirling wind, it would be possible for some moisture to find its way inside the cover, but it would be minimal even in the worst of cases. I may build a true weather proof enclosure at some point, but for now I simply could not beat the performance and price of this cover.

I have had this same outdoor tv cover for 5 years now without full structure covering and fully exposed to harshest 100+ Texas evening heat, severe storms with golf ball sized hail, tornado level winds and torrential amounts of rain and even snow. It’s lasted through it all!! I wish I had better pictures of it brand new when purchased in 2020, but better yet I have pictures to show the cover current state, the different conditions this cover has handled/experienced over the years and the patio tv setup to show exactly how small of structure cover it has made it with. Seriously as a first time homebuyer this $30 cover which I thought would help hopefully handle an old 46” LCD patio pool tv through a pool season is going on 5 years, and even upgraded the patio tv to a new 4K LED because the cover outlasted the technology of the old tv! I never write reviews but I have told everyone that asks I’m obligated to for this because this damn thing is the undefeated people’s champ of patio tv covers. As you can see the cover now has only slightly faded to grey color from sunlight and there is only a little pea sized wear ravel that just started. When it is finally time for for me to replace this thing you can count on me be coming back here to give an update on this thing that literally has already provided protection equal to strapping on 100 Durex’s and durability levels to take on a 60 yr. old Ron Jeremy rocket fueled on RedBull in his prime in the middle of a booger sugar binger.

While the cover looks well made (heavy duty canvas, weighs almost as much as the TV) the size is way off. I have a Samsung 43" TV. I ordered the 40" to 42" cover because many reviewers mentioned that these covers are over-sized. Well, yes, over-sized a bit too much. It looks like I threw a black tarp over the TV (see the pics). The cover is well made but the sizes are off. The sizing chart posted for the "convenience" of the shopper is confusing. I haven't decided if I'll return this cover for an exchange or reimbursement, or just use it the way it is. If your looking for a nice fit and an aesthetic look, choosing the correct size is important. update: 01/22/2018 I returned the cover for a refund and ordered CoverMates - Outdoor TV Half Cover - Fits 36" to 41" Flat TVs - 2 Year Warranty- Black . I learned something important about ordering these covers, you can't buy according to the size of the screen of your TV. You have to take into account the size of the frame of the TV. Because the TV is a 43" screen doesn't mean that's the size of cover to buy. My outdoor TV is a 43" Samsung, which is why I purchased the first cover 40" to 42" (selected a smaller size because of the reviews that stated oversize) and was much too big. Then I purchased this half cover that fits 36" to 41" Flat TVs which is a much smaller size than the one recommended. Well, it fit like a glove on my 43" TV. Why? because the frame around the TV is less than one inch wide! So, although the TV measures 43" diagonally, it is only 31" wide! My bedroom TV is a Philips 42" TV, but the frame is 3" wide and that makes the length of TV 41" which means that this same cover that fits my 43" Samsung TV would definitely not fit my 42" Philips TV. See the pictures. So, how do you select a proper size? Take into account the width of the frame. If the frame around the TV is small, order a smaller size, if the frame is big (like my 42" Philips) then order the size accordingly. Keep in mind the depth of the frame. If the the TV is not thin, you should include a little "wiggle room" for a nice fit. Last, but not least, the half cover is not as sturdy as the full cover (although still nice), probably to make it easy to put on and take off. I was able to install and remove the cover in a flash. A much better solution for me as my TV is under the patio roof anyway.

The material of this is heavy duty and seems like it will hold up through the winter months. We have only had it for a week or so but it is being used on a TV inside of a garage for protection. However we do plan to bring our TV indoors as it gets colder so I won't really know it's true impact until spring/summer hits. However, like I said the material seems of really good quality and it is a great size. We have a little bit of a smaller TV we are using it on so there is a lot of extra space but we are fine with that as we have towels wrapping the TV then the cover on top of it. I wished it zipped at the bottom instead of the velcro but that's just a personal preference for ease. But it does also velcro where the mount is so you can enclose that area. Seems to fit well over everything.

This has to be the best waterproof/weatherproof outdoor cover ever. We had a massive rain storm in San Antonio, Texas that brought us about 10 inches of rain and lots of hail over 3 days last week, we had just placed this cover on our outdoor tv and let me tell you this cover absolutely protected it well. We didn’t have a chance to remove our tv from the mount prior to the storms and were hoping for the best and that is exactly what we got. Everything was functioning just fine. The cover was easy to install, fit our 32” very well and left no room water to seep in. I definitely recommend this outdoor tv cover!
