Easy to put together, fairly well thought out, but small!
This coop says it is for up to 6 birds. Lucky us, we have 6! I was so thrilled to see it has 4 nesting boxes but I am unsure yet if they will actually be big enough for our standard hens! Let me back up though and talk about the packaging. It came in a few large boxes and I had to arrange for drop off with the huge postal service truck. They didn't love my long drive in the middle of no place I have to say! Te coop came with directions, as noted by others already, this brand doesn't have the best directions. My husband put it together though and said it wasn't that big of a deal. I cheered my wonderful husband on while trying to not get in the way. I found an eco-friendly multisurface water protector and it sprayed on easy. It is important to protect this wood! The wood is very light and I can see why others have complained about it not holding up in the weather. With sealing it though, it is working out well so far! With the warmer weather we added our 6 chickens (9 weeks old) into the coop, first a few hours a day and then finally all the time. Please note if you have young chickens chances are you will have to teach them where to sleep. For us that meant trying to catch them in the run area and put them in the coop house and close the door ever night for a week. It was very hard to catch them under the small space below the coop house! After a week of putting them to bed they finally got it, now every evening they all go into the coop house and we just have to close the door. The door system is well thought out I must add and I do like the lock on the nesting box lid! The tray in the coop house isn't well thought out though for the standard pine shavings many people use with chickens. You pull out the tray and the shavings get pushed off by the lip of the coop and then pile inside the coop house. We have started to use sand instead in that try and so far so good! We still have to change it out about every 3 days though! The sand then goes in a compost pile we have. We added wheels to the coop and handles to the whole thing to make it a chicken tractor. I have to say I am worried about the structure holding up to being moved every other day. We are going to reenforce the light wood with better wood and metal plates though. I think it will last at least till winter! Yes this is a cheap coop, but it is a nice one! Chances are I wouldn't have more than 4 chickens in it though, as I said, it is very small. Some great chicken experts have told me that chickens need 10 square feet per bird in the run, this certainly doesn't give them that! We are starting to free range them though and so I think that will make this coop last till winter for us at least! Update: It has been almost a year now and this coop is still holding up and we still love it. We have used it for Broody hens and chicks, as a breeding pen, and a quarantine pen as well. Currently it is keeping 4 bantam chickens safe and happy while we figure out what is trying to snack on our mostly free range flock! We move this pen around the yard to keep grass growing and to let the chickens forage a bit more. I mention this because I want you to know that it puts up with being moved often! No predator has broken into this coop yet either!

CC-79R1 chicken coop It "looks" nice.
I certainly don't recommend this as a chicken coop, a rabbit hutch, maybe. The assembly instructions are very poor to begin with. It's made from very cheap pine wood and it is much smaller than it appears to be. If you were to use it as a chicken coop you could only accommodate up to 4 chickens even with the so called extra run. Even then it would be cruel to keep them "cooped up" in it all the time, pun intended. They definitely need to have yard time, even prison inmates are allowed "yard time". The coop and run are so short that even my 4 year old grandson has to stoop down to enter the door way. The only way you can actually clean out either one is to move the entire structures to a new location. Since we have spent the money on it we will use it until we can build one ourselves. If you have lots of extra money to throw away and only want something temporarily then this just might be the ticket.

I am very pleased with this coop
I am very pleased with this coop. We have 4 large girls and they fit fine but I don't think that I would try to go with any more than 4. The one complaint that I had was the directions for assembly were possibly the worst I have ever seen. Thankfully the manufacturer (or more accurately, the distributor-CCONLY) has videos on their website which allowed me to get it built. If I had to rely on the printed directions to build it I would have rated it one star.

Okay, but could do better & come out cheaper building your own.
This delivered with all parts included & was a good setup. My only complaint is that the material is not weather proof. If you order this product, make sure you buy some water seal & spray the entire coop inside & out. Otherwise it will rot as did mine. Also, the tray doesn't really work because it isn't deep enough & when you pull it out all the mess scraps off on the wood back into the coop. Not very user friendly. Otherwise it worked as a temporary location until we built our own coop...which is 4 times as big & actually cost less!
