Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, 128GB, Mystic Black - Unlocked (Renewed)

I don't use face recognition so I can't say how well it works, but for the first week at any rate, the on-screen fingerprint reader has been amazingly easy to use. I don't use my phone super heavy and it's not uncommon to have 70% or more battery when I put it on the wireless charger at night, and it's *significantly* less picky about placement on the wireless charger than the old phone (note 8). The car has wireless charging and it's also much better charging there; the old one would often not be in the right place and not get any electrons, where this never fails to juice up. I got the Note 20 because it's the last Note (currently) that has an SD card slot; I'm absolutely against some company gouging me hundreds of dollars extra for a 256GB phone when a 512GB SD card is under 50 bucks. The drawback to that is this phone came with pretty much nothing at all but a charging cable, which isn't really adding any value. It took me some time to find a way to get the SD card slot open, without their custom tool, because on this phone at least the hole is waaayyyy too small for a paper clip. I finally unwound the spring from an ink pen, which was small enough and stiff enough to release it. Seriously leave out the cable that probably everyone in the world has by now and put that tool in! It's needed for the SIM even without an SD card. Speaking of SIM, moving my line to this phone was trivially simple. The phone was apparently on T-Mobile previouisly and I'm on Verizon, and everything worked flawlessly right from the phone. Put the SIM in, turned it on, and followed the instructions. Done. I got a Note because, well, I've been a Note fanboy since the 4, when my old Droid with the hardware keyboard gave up the ghost, because of the S-Pen. It's not something I use every day, but when I do use it, there is literally no alternative that works like the S-Pen. If Samsung ever stops putting that on their phone I'll probably move on to something more affordable. This is my first ever refurb, and this one at least is exactly what one would hope; it physically indistinguishable from a brand new phone. Even close observation in the light reveals no scratches or blemishes, it hasn't crashed or exhibited any wonky behaviour (knocks on head), and it's significantly snappier than the old one. That's not just because it has more resources, I think it's because the UI has been tweaked. For example when scrolling a long list this phone's "inertia", how long it scrolls untouched after a flick up or down, is much higher than the old phone, so it's considerably faster to browse by scrolling. I'm sure other improvements have been made as well, and together they translate into a much more responsive feel. The OS itself is similar to the Note 8, really, but it has even more bloat and unremovable cruft in it. For exampe there's "AR" functionality now, but even though I have nothing AR, and if I do it's highly unlikely I'll use this phone in conjunction with it. There's an "AR Zone" that can't be disabled, can't be removed, can't be told not to nag me with notifications, can't be managed in the slightest. Seriously Samsung, get off your high horse. You don't know what I want my phone to do; fine if you want to have that enabled by default, why do I care? But can't disable it or remove all the massively huge list of permissions? Want to rub some salt in there for me? It's also considerably more in-your-face nagging about things; like I haven't figured out how to get it to stop nagging me to save passwords for web sites, as if the last fifteen times I'd change my mind. Stuff like that isn't helpful, it's obtuse and rude. Migration was a PitA, but that's normal, so I mention it anecdotally. Samsung's "Smart Switch" does make it less than heinously atrocious, but "Everything" isn't (everything), and it still took me days to get all my appointments and other things loaded in. Once I find my browser bookmarks and get them in I'll finally be done. Least favorite part of getting a new phone is setting the @*&#% up. I can back up and restore a computer with trivial ease but no phone maker yet is smart enough to do that with a phone. Pathetic. I considered only four stars because of the missing SD card tool. Not sure how many folks would be able to figure out how to open it with the hole being about 2/3 the diameter of a paper clip, which is by the way what Verizon recommends using if one can't find the tool. I have no straight pins so I don't know if they work, but if I did I'd still want to file the point off to be sure I didn't damage anything. But overall a VERY happy camper. If you like Android it's likely you'll be satisfied with this phone, and if you've never had an S-pen you'll probably be hooked. lol

I was a little nervous to buy this used phone due to some rough reviews, turns out I didn't need to be as this showed almost zero wear. Several tiny micro scratches around the camera bezel, light scuff line near the bottom portion of the screen, but scuff invisible when using phone. Purchased this aging phone to replace my Note 10 Plus as the 20 Ultra was the last Note series that featured a physical sim card. My work provides an iPhone that I hate, but that iPhone has a physical sim, so I removed the sim from the iPhone and put it in my Note 20. Instant activation and Android bliss. Immediately noticed the performance upgrade from the previous Note, beautiful bright screen. Facial recognition and fingerprint reader massively upgraded from the Note 10. Actually works closer to Apple products, but still not as slick as Apple, but this "new to me" Note 20 Ultra is still an "old phone" with slightly outdated hardware. Pen is much more responsive than the Note 10 Plus version, no issues with the phone pairing with the pen. Purchased a sweet slim fitting case that has a sliding camera cover for amazing protection.

I compared phones for weeks before I bought this. I wanted the phone with the best camera. And this phone has a GREAT camera. For 2 months I have been taking oodles of photos and loving them. I always have my phones in a protective case, but I guess "protective" doesn't mean it will protect the screen from cracking and not working anymore! I dropped it from about 3 foot max to a gravel driveway and the front screen got a crack. The crack causes lines to go across and the bottom part now flashes and the phone is almost unusable. 18 months ago I also broke the screen on my Pixel 4a. It was in my back pocket when I sat on a bunch of rocks. But that phone still worked perfectly after that. It had a spray of cracks but everthing looked normal and worked fine. And I used it like that for more than a year. You would think that Samsung would make a flagship phone that was AT LEAST as strong as a Pixel but apparently not. The Ultra screen "wraps around" the edge of the phone (which is more hassle than perk since sometimes you have to click on the side of the phone to select something.) This wraparound screen is apparently not protected by your everyday "military grade" protective case if you drop it and it lands on its side. I'm disgusted that I spent $900+ on a renewed phone (I couldn't afford straight new phone of that type) just to use it for 2 months, drop it a short distance (dropped the Pixel like that at least 50 times with no issues) and now it is useless. Thanks for such an "ultra" phone, Samsung. The renewed phone is supposed to have a 90 day return policy if you are not completely satisfied with the phone. Gotta say I'm not satisfied!!

I ordered an excellent condition Note 20 Ultra in black and it arrived exactly as advertised, without a scratch. It is the most beautiful phone I’ve ever owned and I’ve had several dozen phones. My daily phone is an iPhone 13 Pro Max because of work (Apple Ecosystem) so this phone was to take a break from Apple at times. I also own a Samsung S20 Ultra so not new to Samsung / Android. Out of the box I had connection issues with WiFi and cell phone switching. When I left my house from WiFi into T-Mobile cell service I would get no service. I then had to reboot the phone, it would connect to cell service and then the phone would blowup with notifications. It didn’t happen every time I left the house, was 50/50. It also had issues with lag like it was out of memory. Opening YouTube for example I’d get the spinning ball. Checking for software update or cleaning the memory, the color dots wouldn’t even spin. Then there is the battery (4500 mAh) which was extremely poor. My best battery day was 3 hours 49 minutes onscreen time with 60hz refresh set. For comparison my used older S20 Ultra battery (5000 mAh) best day was 9 hours 2 minutes (iPhone, 10 hours 16 minutes). So I called around and found a Samsung certified store which quoted me $79 for an OEM battery replacement. I would have totally changed the battery if the phone didn’t have the other issues. I only used the phone for 4 days and after the second hard reset, I made the decision to return it. I just sent it back today after receiving it 7 days ago. Even with the issues, I miss it already. I don’t miss the battery life and the hiccups but the phone itself was gorgeous (that 1440p screen). It was no fault of the Amazon seller, someone would have to use the phone for days to detect these issues.

I had thus exact same model phone for almost 3yrs. It still worked perfectly and I loved it but unfortunately I dropped it just the perfectly wrong way and destroyed the led screen. The phone was no longer usable. So I liked it so much I decided to buy the exact same phone. Over 300.00 for a refurbished model. I get it and first of all none of my pictures would sync. They all tried to but they all are just completely black. There are many other things that were different. Maybe due to software updates. When I first got it I thought it was defective because it went on for almost 2 days of constantly updating. I was upset but finally it stopped. The facial recognition rarely works and the fingerprint sensor doesn't work at all. I think it has to do with the Glas screen protector but it is specifically designed for a fingerprint sensor but it doesn't work at all. Since I broke the last one I don't want to have it unprotected. Overall I still enjoy this model but there seems to be numerous differences from my last one. It never gets hot. It takes decent pictures and has a lot of features to improve pictures. I don't think it should cost this much but it is a nice model phone. I would recommend it but just wish the biometric options worked better or even at all.

This phone is absolutely gorgeous I was afraid to touch it haha 😄 I couldn't wipe it off enough before putting it inside the case and I almost feel like the case I got isn't good enough to protect it. It works perfectly it accepted my other Sim card easily even had prompts on what I needed to do! I'm still trying to figure out the little pen that is in it and there's a lot to learn about this phone! There wasn't a scratch on it I feel like I'm holding a top of the line phone when I am using it. The black glass on the back reminds me of a stiletto heel. It responds super fast the camera is so good! I had a regular Galaxy Note 20 for the past 6 years and it finally had enough of me and I refused to get anything else but decided to give this a try because it was unlocked and I am super pleased I made a great decision! I'll upload a video when someone comes over cause the phone can do so much but it can't record how beautiful itself is!

My first Note 20 Ultra was stolen. Purchased this as replacement . I was happy to find one for this price, but after setting up the phone I found out that the WiFi toggle would not stay on. It has become a problem and I can't figure how to fix it. If it is renewed why is the wifi not repaired?

I got this phone delivered 2 days before my delivery window started, so nice job on the seller for getting this shipped quickly. The box was no frills, came with the phone, charger and cord. Exactly what I paid for. The phone is pristine clean, no flaws whatsoever. I put my sim card from my old phone in here and it connected immediately. I tested a few camera features, made some calls, played with the stylus. All worked good and I was happy. I then took the added time to search youtube hidden features. If you are thinking about buying this phone, if you already have bought this phone - PLEASE do this. There are features I never imagined - using the stylus as the shutter button for your camera was a cool one - but there are a number of videos and most show you something you never thought about (do a deep dive into "Good Lock" which is a Samsung app and you may be as surprised as I am at what this monster can do) I upgraded from an S10 (wife broke her phone, and I wanted the upgraded size and camera) The stylus is very responsive and accurate. I DO suggest a good case for the phone, but almost all of the ones I have seen restrict at some level access to the stylus port. I went with a slim case, and it still needs me to really push with my finger tip to get the stylus to click in/out of the port. By contrast without the case, there is no issue. Display really is easy to ready in direct sunlight, I have large hands so the size is a benefit being as large as it is, but I always had issues text/typing on a device, so the stylus helps. again, super accurate and fast response - virtually no lag. This phone will treat me to everything I want/need for years to come. I'm VERY delighted with it so far.

Primera vez que compro un teléfono por Amazon y la verdad es que superó mis expectativas, cumple con lo que dice, solo que el cargador que mandan no es el original. El teléfono solo traía un pequeño golpe en una orilla, pero no afecta en nada.

el celular estéticamente esta a un 95% pero funciono bien las 3 primeras horas y después dejo de funcionar la pantalla, el celular esta prendido y todo pero no da imagen, metí el reclamo pero nadie contesta ni se hacen responsables, de mínimo para que me manden otro

Un dispositivo increíble por el precio, vino como nuevo solo unos detalles como de pídeles muertos en el contorno del notch y toda la parte de arriba y abajo, pero que apenas y se nota, el cristal de la pantalla tiene señales de uso pero nada que se note a simple vista las cámaras hacen un buen trabajo para un dispositivo de hace casi 3 años la cama frontal muy buena sin deformar como otras cámaras llegan hacer y la pantalla, es muy bonita especialmente cuando son colores negros ya que pareciera que la pantalla está apagada totalmente y en tema de juegos, no suelo jugar mucho en móvil pero lo poco que probé par dar un vistazo a su procesador debo decir que hace un trabajo bueno ya que la versión que me llego es Snapdragon y cabe mencionar que la vida de la batería es de un 87% la verdad nada mal vengo del Poco de Xiaomi y tiene problemas de rendimiento en batería y para tener 87% de vida en su batería le hacía frente o incluso me llega al día, con un uso constante ya que suelo trabajar 12 horas algunos días de la semana y me llega a durar 8-9 horas o 7-8 horas, solamente usando Facebook o appstore de mensajería como WhatsApp o Messeger, nada mal por la vida de batería en la que te llega

Me gusta mucho el producto, funciona excelente. Tiene pequeñas manchas en la carcasa pero con una buena funda quedó como nuevo.

Lo compre hace unos meses y el único detalle que le encontré pero que no me limita a usarlo es que el lector de tarjeta micro SD falla y me marca que la tarjeta se inserta o se extrae y si no tienes mucha paciencia puede ser incómodo el msj . De ahí todo está increíble. Para juegos va de sobra, si se calienta pero si juegas un ramito esta bien Duración de batería si es un tema ya que al ser dispositivo usado y ya con sus años de salida pues no tiene la mejor duración. Cámara muy buena aquí no hay reproche Velocidad del teléfono igual increíble Lo malo es que ya no tiene actualizaciones del sistema pero si no te urge tener lo más nuevo en sistema Android está bien.
