Great stool!
We use this little stool under the bathroom sink for the grand children to step on to wash hands/brush teeth. It is light enough for the two year old to carry to the living room where Mimi sits on it to play a game on the coffee table. Just as described in the ad, well thought out as it folds on sturdy hinges, and has holes in the top that allow a hand to carry it easily when folded. Genius gadget!!

Sturdiness
Purchased for daughter to use in all bathrooms! Great find, color and real wood compliment decor much better than plastic. Thank you

Great little step stool!
I love this little step stool! It's very sturdy, yet easily portable. Best of all, I don't have to hide it because the wood finish looks great too.

Nice deign, poor construction
Bought this for a general stepstool for a "height challenged family member." I don't like plastic, and this seemed like a good choice. It does have plastic bumpers on the feet and plastic non-slip discs on the top. Hinges and screws are steel. Wood is definitely hardwood, and from the grain it does look like Beech.Somebody was sleeping when they made this. One of the rubber feet is glued *over* a piece of paper that's sticking out. Not to mention that they are totally crooked. Non-slip discs are not even close to being centered. The wrong screws are used - they used flat head screws in a round hole (flat heads are for countersunk holes). Half the screws are not even screwed in all the way, some sticking almost halfway out. Some are driven in crooked. The Phillips slots are all partially stripped. And the screws are super low quality, with some of the Phillips slots being so far off-center that they extend past the screw's edge. The hinges are also low quality, some of the pins are deformed and not even fully inserted. The cross braces on the legs are attached with lap joints. There is a 'smear' of wood filler over each joint, which leads me to believe that there's a screw, pin or dowel that supports the joint. The side braces toggle into place and actually function very well.Overall I like this stool, but I'm going to replace the hinges and screws with some quality hardware. I can't expect that this would last very long with the existing, cheap hardware.

Wish it was as it appears
Product received does not appeared stained as in photo (photo is much nicer than actual product). Like that it is real wood. Overall quality is just ok.
