This is a well-made lightweight cap that delivers good quality for the price. The wool blend fabric is soft, the seams are tight, the cap is fully lined and there are no loose threads. You can sense some cost savings in the minimal forehead padding and the thinness of bill material (it feels like pasteboard when you flex it but it does hold its shape when adjusted). I wouldn't want to wear this cap in the rain or a snowstorm, but it is a very nice spring/fall cap. I doubt it will last as long as my wool tweed caps from the UK, but for 17 bucks, it's a good deal.

This hat is an unexpected gem. It is a little light for a wool flat cap but because of this, can be worn pretty much every season. I find the shape and style to be a perfect representation of the iconic British/ Irish flat cap. The material doesn’t feel cheap and the sizing is dead on. I will be ordering more. All this bad press about the inside digging into your head… It’s a nice compliant material that does not cause pressure to my forehead. It hold nicely and fits comfortably and firmly enough to stay in place. This is a well made, just light enough hat. Way better than most of the competition in my opinion.

Fast delivery and quality lid.

The quality, fit and look are good. But the design is not. There is a rope or roll on the forehead that should be a flat band. Wearing the hat for even a half an hour will leave a visible dent in your forehead that last for hours. This also makes it a little uncomfortable.

I bought this cap for my dad who loves the way it looks and gets compliments on it. It’s not thick or heavy, but Dad doesn’t want to notice the hat he's wearing anyway. Despite being thinner, it does keep your head warm in cooler weather so it’s a great fall & winter cap. Nice build and fit - the wool blend and houndstooth pattern look & feel like a pricier hat. **Bend/curve the bill right off the bat to keep it from uncomfortably pressing into the center of your forehead.** I liked this hat enough to get one for myself in plaid green!

Pretty nice hat. This hat is a 50/50 wool polyester mix, so in my opinion, it's a little softer and more comfortable to wear than a 100% wool hat. The tradeoff, i guess, is that 100% wool is more insulative and water resistant in colder weather. As far as sizing goes, these seem to run a little on the larger side. I already have a wool hat 7 1/4 that's pretty snug, so I ordered a 7 3/8-1/2 and it's a little looser than expected. So I'd recommend trying 2 different sizes and comparing them, then return the one that doesn't fit.
