Frownies really helped to prevent facial lines.
Used these for years. Worked very well. Recommended them to many people. Used them for about five years to prevent the number eleven lines in the forehead. Worked well. I did notice though that the last pack I bought did not stick well.

Not worth the social media hype
I really wanted to like these, but I feel like I was duped by the convincing testimonies/videos social media. To be fair, I only tried them for a week, but after noticing on the last day that they had actually MADE NEW LINES on my face (from the outlines of the patch), I was OUT 😅 That is the opposite of what we're trying to do here. It is definitely a little bit of a learning curve to apply and remove these. The videos make it look so easy on social media, but in reality, there's a little bit of a trick. For one, if you apply these at the end of your skincare routine, after you've applied serums, moisturizer, etc. you'll have a harder time getting the patches to stick. I assume many people would apply these at the end of their nighttime skincare, as I was, before bed. And in the morning, the area of your skin where you applied the patches will be dry compared to the rest of your face because the patch removes/absorbs the products from your skincare. AND the patch sometimes leaves a residue. Also, I watched a couple videos online about how to apply these, and one lady said you can get a little bunch of these wet at a time while you wait for the adhesive to get tacky or whatnot. Well, that didn't quite work for me either. I feel like you really have to apply one patch at a time because the patch has a sweet spot for when it's sticky (only takes a few seconds), and if you go past that... Good luck getting it to stick. Once you do get them on your face, you gotta hold them there for several seconds, but apparently you shouldn't press *too* hard around the outlines of the patch because otherwise they will leave NEW LINES on your skin around the outlines of the patch. Once they're on your skin, if you're fidgety like I am... You'll be tapping them and touching them nonstop 😂 The removal process is kinda uncomfortable, low key painful for sure. I would get them wet and kinda wiggle them off your skin, and then once you get sick of that, rip the rest of it off like a bandaid 🥹 depending on the size of the patch and how much patch you have left on your face haha. One lady on Facebook says people just wear them to the gym and sweat them off, but... I'm not about the Hannibal Lecter lifestyle at the gym. And, like other reviews said, they DO smell bad, like old crusty glue that came off of a foot. It wasn't a huge issue for me 😅 but the deal breaker really was noticing new lines on my face the morning after, and with it only being a week, I didn't notice improvement on the original lines on my face. Maybe briefly in the morning depending on how well you applied them the night before, but the lines do come back shortly. At this point, I feel like facial exercises/ facial "yoga" is a better investment.

Great little postage stamps that stop wrinkles
Not sure why all the hate. They don’t smell any worse than a postage stamp did back when you had to lick them, these are basically postage stamps. And if you remember having to lick stamps, then you’re probably using Frownies. You need to use these every night to see results. It’s a commitment. If you don’t want to do that, get Botox. I currently get Dysport and started using Frownies for two reasons 1. A friend I trust began using them with great results 2. Covid hit and I couldn’t see my injector. Frownies helped me stretch my Dysport results until I could get back in. Now I use them to stretch out my appts or when I’m trying to save money. I don’t get the eyebrow lift I get from Dysport/botox but it helps reduce my forehead wrinkles and 11’s if I do the full Wonder Woman method. I do my nightly routine, let my products sink into my skin about 10 min per the Frownies instructions. Then I wet my finger a little with water and slide it over my already torn out Frownie and wait for it to curl up before applying. After my forehead is covered, I use Trader Joe’s rose water spray over the whole thing and pat it down. You don’t need Frownies rose water spray. They peel off much easier in the morning with product underneath than going in dry. I’ve tried going in without product and peeling off the next day hurts. I’ve also tried putting on frownies (just a few, not a full crown), immediately after face product and letting the product be wet enough to act as water to activate the glue. It’s worked fine too. You just have to figure what works for you and if this is worth it to you. Most of the time, honestly, it’s not worth it to me and I’d rather just get Dysport. But when money is tight, it’s worth the nightly commitment. Every other night works too if I’m alternating a retinoid product. Do not use it the same night as a retinoid. Do one or the other or risk peeling your skin off. Also didn’t know people were reusing their peeled off mask crown thing for a second use. I might try that!!

They work, but you have to do the work for kind of forever
I’m going real with this review because I wish I had known what I learned. If you’re on the fence - I used these for almost a year. They definitely work if you use them consistently. But you also have to put patches on your face that you wear often, often. I chose ultimately that the price and upkeep wasn’t for me. I also didn’t want my young children seeing me constantly putting things on my face that I needed to explain. That’s just me. If you want to help your lines these will help. But you will also be paying for them and wearing them constantly. I chose not to. I love the idea, I loved the results. I’ve stopped using them for about 3 months now, my between the eyebrows line is slightly more noticeable. If your goal is to help those lines and you don’t mind the cost or time, totally do it. They’re pregnancy and breastfeeding safe, and they do work. But it’s a forever thing, not a quick fix.

They smell weird
OK, let me stop by saying I do believe these things work. I felt a visible difference right away. The first day I used it however, you should know these things smell horrible and even after you wash your face, the smell lingers. I slept with them on last night for the entire night and now I’m being punished for it lol. The smell is kind of like garbage and belly button lint something like that. So I gave them four stars out of five because the product definitely works, but that smell is is hit and strong.

Why Did I Ever Stop Using Frownies? They Really Work!
I've been using Frownies on and off for many years, and I have to say—they really do work! I originally used them years ago, then stopped for some reason. Now I'm back to using them, this time more for my corners of the mouth and still for my forehead, and it made me wonder why I ever quit. With consistent use, they really do help train the facial muscles and soften expression lines. It's amazing to see the difference they make. I've always used warm water to activate the adhesive, and it works perfectly. In the past, I wore them overnight, although sometimes they'd become uncomfortable as they dried and I'd end up removing them during the night. These days, I wear them for about three hours, and that works great for me. The only thing I'd love to see improved is the packaging. I wish the patches came pre-cut and ready to use instead of having to tear them apart. It's not difficult, but I usually tear them all apart in one sitting so they're ready whenever I need them. The tiny pieces left over from tearing though can be a little messy and inconvenient. That small inconvenience certainly doesn't outweigh the results. Frownies have earned a permanent place in my skincare routine again, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a non-invasive way to help reduce the appearance of expression lines.

I was skeptical but it works!
I was hesitant to purchase these because usually these types of things are a racket. Out of the package, I was surprised to see they were made from a thinner cardstock paper with a postage stamp-like adhesive. You have to tear them out on the perforated lines which I sometimes suck at loL. I kinda wish these were already separated because I have torn a few getting them out. Applying them has taken me about a week to get the hang of. At first I was using my finger to apply droplets of water but that wasn’t working, the patches never wanted to stay put. Then I started using a leftover spray bottle that my makeup setting spray came in and that works perfect to distribute the right amount of water to create a perfect bond to my skin. Since these are on the sides of my mouth and I am a side sleeper, a lot of times I wake up and one side has pulled away a bit, not completely, but I still wake up to great results! I’ve been using them for a week and I can already tell a huge difference! I wish I had before and after pictures. I plan on buying these on the regular because for such a non invasive product, it does so much! If you are on the fence, I think you need to try them, and push through the initial practice stage to get them to stay on! Worth it!

The adhesive runs & hurts my eyes
I've been using Frownies for 2 months consistently, & definitely had realistic expectations knowing I would have to do it every day. BUT, I still see no results. The lines always come back later in the day. The cost doesn't seem worth it. I have to use about 10 patches to cover and overlap like directed which comes out to 300 patches per month. One box only has 144. So I'm paying about $40/month to use these every night. Doesn't seem affordable considering they're just craft paper & adhesives. 1 box should at least be a month's supply. The worst part is the adhesive irritates my eyes. When I'm wetting & patting them like directed OR wetting them to remove them, the adhesive runs down into my eyes and makes them bloodshot & itchy 🥴. Last part, is the digging into my skin. The corners are sharp & leave indents on my forehead. I'm thinking at best, these might be a wrinkle *preventative*, not a wrinkle corrector. After all, the owner says she's been using them for 20 years. Her results seem unattainable.

Old and Stuck
It was not good at all. the patches were all stuck to each other and it looked like a very old product which was not very well stored. We have bought it before from other sites and always had a good product. this was very bad.
