Click: 4 Sets Sliding Window Locks

I bought 4 of these to secure two vertical windows. The window frames are white vinyl, the design of the window locks pretty much blend in and are not as obvious as the thumb screw type. The locks have two rubber pads you apply that protects the window frame, nice touch, well thought install. The two set screws on each lock add to the security to prevent sliding, comes with two set keys to make install easy. The locks have about 1/8” grip on the vertical window frame, a bit less then on the horizontal frames.

This window lock is added security and helps with peace of mind. Use it to prevent a window from opening beyond a comfortable space. It can prevent the window from being opened from the outside. It is very helpful to prevent the window from closing or sliding down unexpectedly. This item is a worthy buy. Sliding Window Locks are highly recommended.

The primary reason I bought this lock set vs others was inclusion of the vertical key. Without it.....It really didn't make sense for me to have outside allen wrench bolts showing to a potential robber. All they would need to do is go to their car (potentially), grab the correct size and come back and break in! Thus I wanted to be able to lock the window from the Inside track...which I was able to accomplish with the Vertical Key. If you didn't have the vertical key, the bend in the allen wrench is prohibitive to tightening down the blots. Essentially....I bolted the outside window on it's track, facing the bolts towards the inside. Then bolted the internally facing window on it's track facing the bolts inwards as well. Very happy.....just concerned that the vertical key is NOT that resilient from what I can tell....so I tightended the bolts very gingerly!!

My seven-year-old granddaughter was opening windows, pushing out screens and we were concerned. These locks were easy to install and extremely effective.

I got these for my four year olds room after discovering him out on the roof one afternoon. I wanted to install these where he could still open the window a little bit but not climb out. He used that six inches to get enough momentum to slam the window open and bust through the locks. I reinstalled, thinking I just needed to make them tighter and more secure but he did it again two more times. I finally installed them with the window permanently closed and that was sting enough to keep in shut.

Needed a non permanent safety lock for my kids windows and these did the trick. I saw the ones that attach to the windows but read that they are somewhat faulty. These ones are great. I put them on the top of the window so my kids can't get the key and then I tested them out. THEY DONT BUDGE. They are easing this mom's anxiety of children falling through a window

Not even strong enough to stop a small 4 year old from opening the window. Returning for a refund.

My son just moved in to the “questionable” part of town. I bought these for some added security- they do a great job. Nice and sturdy.
