Great.
One of my favorite scents. Great performing soap.

Best shave soap
I originally ordered Mahogany however recieved Tobacco. I messaged WSP and they promptly shipped out the correct order at no extra charge. Perhaps this was more on purpose then by accident because the Tobacco scent is incredible. I'll review them both here. The Mahogany is a hard soap and the scent is light and subtle as most Mahogany scents seem to be, very pleasant, I like it. The lather however is what makes this soap. It produces a rich creamy full lather, the best of all the soaps I have. It allows your razor to glide over your face for a nice close shave and leaves your face smooth and soft with minimal suds. This is currently my favorite soap to shave with. Tobacco... WOW! What an amazing scent, of all my soaps this scent is by far my favorite. A powerful masculine sweet tobacco. However I am conflicted because unlike the Mahogany, this is a soft creamy soap that I find easier to scoop a little out and and swirl around my shave bowl to use. I'm not a fan of creamy shave soaps. This however works better then others I have used, not as good as the solid Mahogany though. I will continue to buy this as long as they make it cause I love the scent. So far the pros of each soap outweigh the cons and I look forward to trying more from WSP in the future.

Wonderful shave soap
I have used various shaving soaps in the past with mixed results. This soap is by far the best soap I have used. No problem working a good lather, very good cushion and lubrication. It actually hydrated my face rather than dry it out. I shaved with a 1964 Gillette slim adjustable loaded with a feather blade with 4 shaves on it. I had the handle adjusted to 3 for with the grain and 4 against. This is the closest shave I have ever had and itโs due in no small part to the soap. Feather blades are very sharp but rather harsh. This soap tamed that. I purchased the Gaelic Tweed scent. The scent is a nice evocation of Green Irish Tweed. The tallow of the soap does deepen the scent and give it a fatty note, but the scent on its own is much more โgreenโ smelling. Perhaps more lemon verbena than the iris or ambergris. It does not clash at all with the original Creed scent. So donโt expect this to have you saying โwow that smells just like GITโ maybe closer to Aspen. If you buy this to have a very great shave soap you will not be disappointed. 4 stars because the scent doesnโt quite hit the mark.

Love it!
This soap is hands down my favorite shave soap. I like the smell, but the soap itself is incredible. My skin never feels dry and it provides a nice rich thick lather. The shave is very smooth. The scent is a little antique is the best way I can describe it. It's complex, and reminds me of my grandpa. I find it hard to describe but it is not fruity or flowery. It's just there. This has become my go-to shave when dressing up or donning a suit. Definitely find the smell a cooler weather scent. It's a "gentleman" in a tub! You need a pair of had stitched classy tan brogues to go with it! The best part with this soap is it is a artisan soap. I contacted the company with a issue I had with a scent I had of theirs in their vegan line. They quickly replaced it and were prompt with their response. This company has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced.

WSP Formula T
Amazing stuff! I've used many of the top artisan soaps and Formula T hangs with the best. Rich, creamy, and slick lather with a better post shave feel than the Rustic Shaving Soap(which is great too, this is just an improvement). Definitely a great value in shave soap. I would prefer that the tubs were larger, because loading your brush can get pretty messy. I've learned to work around it, but some head room in the tubs for easier loading would be an added benefit in my opinion.

WOW! Fantastic shave soap!
Let me preface this review by saying that I have been wet shaving since '09 and have tried 20+ different shaving soaps and creams. But this product gave me, without a doubt, the MOST COMFORTABLE SHAVE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! I shaved with a Merkur Futur safety razor with a Feather double edge blade (the best brand you can buy), and used a silvertip badger hair brush to prep and apply this soap. The smell of the soap is nice and very understated, and the lather was on par with any other quality soap. But when I passed the razor down my cheek I was completely surprised at the feel. Imagine, if you will, lathering up your face and drawing a closed-comb safety razor without a blade in it across your face. That's exactly what this felt like! Smooth as silk and ZERO irritation. I had to check again to make sure the blade was set up correctly in the safety razor. After completing the first pass (with the "grain"), I re-lathered and shaved against the grain. Again, smooth as silk! Usually shaving around my Adam's apple yields irritation and razor burn but not with this soap. Pure bliss! Zero irritation! Do yourself a big favor and order a tin of WSP Formula T shaving soap. I cannot wait to try the other scents.

Nice Shaving Soap
This soap produces a nice and slick lather. Has a great fragrance too. I also really liked the shampoo bar sample they sent me. I will be ordering that.

Really good, and a bit disappointing
I wish there was a way to give two different star reviews. I got this and initially really enjoyed it. Let me break it down: Production: Solid product and seems made from good ingredients, I appreciate that. Packaging: Loses a point for this for not being in a metal container, but it does seal well. I'm just tired of everything being in plastic, particularly when it doesn't need to be. Microplastics aren't good for anyone and they're tough to recycle (no, I'm not a tree-hugger but I don't like generating trash that is persistent either). Texture: Odd here. It is pretty solid stuff, or at least my jar was. As I started to get toward the last quarter of the container I just ran my finger around to flatten it back out (I tend to swipe the product with my brush and just lather it on my face in the shower). As I did this, it got really soft, as though just a bit of agitation loosened it up quite a bit into more of a true cream texture and I wonder if this isn't really how it was intended to be to the customer. Slickness & Skin Interaction: It's slick. Not the slickest stuff I've used for sure, but plenty adequate and it rinses well. It doesn't dry my skin at all, but I wouldn't say it moisturizes it either. I can appreciate it for being a neutral. Lather: It lathers quite well, though being firmer than a 'cream' means that you'll wind up spending a little more time getting it all to go to lather than if it were a lighter/whipped/creamed texture to begin with. I see this as neutral, though when mixed in my granite bowl did mean more residue or a little more effort to get out. I generally lather it on my face and similarly I'd have some areas where it'd want to be more persistent than others. It isn't bad, in any way, but just something that's a bit different from other soaps I've used. Its texture is somewhere between a puck of soap and a jar of cream. Scent: Okay, this is the big one. It's just about the most perfect representation of the masculine barber shop shaving cream scent ever. It's incredible and I really enjoyed this. The scent more than made up for any neutrals and plastic packaging... but... The scent has diminished over time until it's pretty unscented right now. To be fair, I've had it for a good while and I lather it enough to not use a ton of the soap itself, so I may be using it more slowly than expected which might explain it. Oddly, the waning scent would indicate a lack of over-processing or nasty chemicals, so I think this is a bit of a mixed bag. I think selling this in smaller packages, or re-texturing it and/or selling it in a tube may help extend the scent life (though the latter brings us back to packaging issues unless in a metal tube like the old toothpaste/Bryll Cream). Overall 8.5/10.
