Having recently developed tailbone pain that made sitting uncomfortable, even on comfy couches, I was terrified of flying overseas on an overnight 10 hour flight. Airplane seats are not known for their comfort! I ordered this and crossed my fingers, and it worked out brilliantly. It took a little bit of practice to figure out where to sit on the cushion, but I made it through the flight with no issue. My tailbone felt fine! I'd HIGHLY recommend this product if you have similar pain, and definitely this product over other U-shaped pillows (I have a tempur-pedic one as well that doesn't work as well for long-hauls) because the foam in it doesn't get soft and lose support.

I really wish I had purchased one of these a long time ago. These are so much better than the little inflatable donuts. I have found that it's firm but not uncomfortably so-- gives enough cushion but also provides support (my husband thought it was firmer than he though it should be, so each to their own). This has helped with aiding in some hemorrhoid relief. I use it in chairs at my home, and have also used it to sit on our hardwood floors at our house as well. In addition to the hemorrhoids, I've found that it's helped with some of the nerve pinching and back discomfort I get as well. I am really tempted to stick one in my car for long drives.

I almost passed on this because it's being advertised for hemorrhoids which I do not have. My issue is that I sit at work, then I sit in the car and all this sitting makes my sitting bones hurt so bad that by the end of the work day I can hardly focus on anything else.At the end of the day my hips are usually very tight and my back completely out of alignment until I either lie down or hang on a pull up bar to stre h my backWell, I used this cushion in my car over the weekend and it felt great. But the real test came today, sitting for 8 hrs at work plus another hour in the car. So far I'm impressed! The cushion is firm but comfortable. Donut hole allows me to switch to different positions throughout the day and allows me to maintain good posture while sitting, all while avoiding pressure on my sitting bones.I will probably order another one for my home if this one still feels good in a month or so.

Anyone dealing with IC has the papers from the doctor telling you what you can't eat/drink (anything fun) and how much liquid to drink and how often to go to the bathroom, etc etc. But there's the "limit sitting" rule that can pretty much suck when your job requires you to sit a lot, your commute requires you to sit a lot, you'd like to enjoy going to the movies or out to eat at a restaurant. These things are a lifesaver. Or a bladder saver. Or your perineum. Whatever - my point is that it takes the pressure off of that area when you have to sit. We just slip them into a pillow case so it's not really noticeably screaming "HI I'M A HEMORRHOID PILLOW!!!" and take them wherever sitting is required. Nobody has ever done a double take or cared. The pillowcase does double duty of making them easy to keep clean. If you're eating a meal while sitting on it, you know food is going to find its way to fall down onto it unless you have it covered with a pillowcase. Not to mention it's smooshed up against your butt for hours at a time. I don't care how clean your butt is, it's still a butt and it's nice to be able to slip a pillowcase off every once in a while and throw it in the laundry.This particular pillow is worth the extra price for it's softness and quality.

Revised review: After I posted the original 3 star review I received an email from the company, which surprised me. It turns out this little donut was supposed to be comfortably firm, not hard. I had a defective product. They sent out the replacement and told me not to return the other one. How nice is that? With 3 stars it wasn’t a terrible review, but they took care of me anyway. So here I sit all nice and comfortably protected from putting pressure on the bit this is intended for. The cutouts on the two sides come in handy. The back one to relieve pressure on the tail bone, and I suppose the front one would make it a little more comfy for men? Or maybe it’s like that so you don’t have to work too hard to get comfortable. What ever the reasoning, I am pleased to make this a 5 Star.This was the 3 star review: Does the job but a little bit hard on the body parts in contact with it.

This is a product which helps relieve pain and discomfort for my husband , it doesn’t and can’t get rid of pain by itself

Forget all the illnesses - I like it just for comfort. Beautiful cushion!

I've used this for six weeks now. It's comfortable overall, but my back hurts a little by the end of an hour or so. I bought this from Amazon in January for $65. It is now $97. Why?

Not sure what it is. I have bought quite a few of these donut style cushions, but this one is either too hard or not the right shape, and is twice the cost. I'll give it a couple of more days, but I think it's going back. I do appreciate the cutouts though, as a man.
