Mile Four Organic Chicken Feed, Grower Whole Grain, Non-GMO, US Grown 2 lbs

So happy I decided to go with Mile Four! I have 9 week old pullets and ferment the feed, so I ordered whole grain grower feed. My girls go crazy for this stuff! They eat it first and then eat their chick feed only once the Mile Four is gone (still using up what I I have leftover from their starter feed also). It also ferments WONDERFULLY. Obviously can’t comment on egg quality as my girls aren’t laying yet, but it looks and smells like fresh grain and I feel like my flock is getting very quality food eating this. I definitely plan to continue feeding Mile Four to my flock indefinitely!

I use this as a treat because it costs so much, but the chimkies love it and it helps balance out their diet a bit still :)

Seems like good quality stuff but my chickens did NOT like it. Had to mix it with different feed to get through it. Since it was SO expensive I really expected them to be obsessed with it but I will stick with my much cheaper feed-store feed!

Mile Four Grow Organic Chicken Feed. My chickens love this feed. It is organic, non-medicated, non-GMO. My chickens especially like when I ferment this feed for them. I fed them Mile Four Organic Starter and stuck with it because the love it so much!!

It was great food but it was too little for the price

I normally purchase 25- or 40- pounds of organic, non-GMO, soy and corn free, chicken feed. I happened to be running low and wouldn’t be able to get the usual brand in time. So, I ordered what I could find on Amazon that shipped the fastest. I thought it was 20-lbs. what I received was this tiny little bag of nearly nothing that I paid $20.00 plus tax for. Two pounds won’t feed my Jersey Giants and Brahma chicks for very long. Who in the world would pay this crazy high price for just two pounds? It’s not anything special, just some split peas and a few cracked grains. I guess if you only have a couple of teeny weeny little bantam chicks then this two pounds of feed might be okay, overpriced, but okay. If you have normal size or larger chickens, this feed is way too expensive and definitely not worth the extra cost.

Honestly, short answer no, do not buy it. It is very little for the amount of money you’re paying. It smelled very gross. It almost smelled like old. I don’t wanna say moldy, but it smelled not great. Honestly, my chicken did not like the texture. My chicken was picking like she would eat some of it and some of it, she would not eat so Honestly, it was not good. You can find better feeds with less money.
